Societies always change; that is a commonly accepted principle. As for why the change happens, it is because of shifting social values. Each generation is raised slightly different than the previous one, causing differences to form.

An example of this is when women began gaining rights in the late 1800- early 1900's, when more and more people saw men and women as equal. This resulted in women no longer wearing dresses in public, and women gaining jobs. Eventually, treatment between the genders was the same; a time when girls could have traits like guys and, occasionally, guys had the traits of girls. This is still true today, but it took a while to reach this stage.

My point is that different events in the world cause different trends in society. It is dependent on how one generation was raised by wat people in which time period.

It's all America's fault, the only history and culture they had was that of Great Britain. So after rebelling against Britain for no apparent reason, they of course had to make up their own history and culture to ensure the United States remains as one country. Generations later USA then proceeds to corrupt other countries by forcing their plastic culture upon them in the form of media.

Why is our society like this ?

I believe we just think the world is full or worse people then it was along time ago. Sure, everyone's attitude stinks and all of that, but really there has always been bad. In the 40s and 50s you had Stalin and Hitler who murdered millions. In the 60s, you had a massive world war going on, but no one would fire the first shot and you lived in constant fear. There was also the Civil Rights movement which turned violent in some cases and murder was commited because of race. However, it just changes what happens at different times. This is one of those times.

How did our society turn out to be like this ?

The more things change the more they stay the same. It's the same ball game, but there are more rules. More influences and more people to influence them. It was the same back long time ago. They said the rebelious behavior was due to Rock n' Roll, but now people from that generation are complaining about how rebelious we are today. Same thing.

Media has caused all of this disaster known as society - if the eight year olds wouldn't play with Prostitutez dolls, I mean Bratz, they would not wear the high heels and skirts meant for the twenty-eight year olds walking the streets.

Well, its sad that our society did turn out like this. I think it is due to the way governments are run. If you look back to the 40's and 50's, everyone was so modest and clean. They had real prime ministers and presidents. In one hundred years time, no one will remember who Obama or Cameron are, because they're nobody's! Over the years, things like popular music, and computers gradually corrupt our society, making us more and more lazy, decreasing our respect for each other, and prompting a lack of care towards ourselves and each other.

There are many reasons for all of it. In short it all comes down to the fact that the big majority of humanity is simply stupid.

Its pretty simple.. by stupid and ignorant people letting ego or whatever pave the way for society to turn out how it is.

My personal opinion is most people that do this is becuase of the fame and popularity of movie stars tv shows ,star athletes ,rappers basically what comes on tv that tells people that this is popular be like this and u will b cool and they see and hear about popular people using drugs and they wanna do the same I've never heard of people doing it becuase they want to be losers even if they are
