How did you celebrate the 4th of July?
Do I really need a debate description? lol

Since I ripped it up the two week-ends before this with weddings, I decided to simply order a pizza and watch all the fireworks from my deck. It was noisy and quiet at the same time and I enjoyed staying home. The next two week-ends will be busy as well with two birthday parties. Happy Birthday America!!! May God help our troops keep us safe. Side: Fireworks and Pizza

I didn't! I'm in Sweden, where the American celebration of the fourth of July is very unimportant. Instead, I went to a friend's house, we watched "Shaun of the Dead," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," ate candy, made tacos, watched a storm, and made tacos. It was marvelous. Side: I didn't
BBQ + Fireworks. In San Diego we have a whole lotta fireworks every year. Over San Diego bay there are three sets that go off in unison at 9PM, and at the same time they have fireworks over Ocean Beach, the Mission Bay Yacht Club and the La Jolla Cove. All of the 9PM fireworks can be seen from the South end of Mission Bay, but you can only see the top of the La Jolla Fireworks. Then at 9:30 the Seaworld Fireworks were right in front of us. It was fun to have all of those fireworks going off around you at the same time... Pretty good for a bankrupt city, in a bankrupt nation. Side: I didn't

We went to the parade downtown first off, which was actually pretty good for here. After that, we hung out at home for a few hours and then headed up to a friend's cabin at Eklutna for a Mexican fiesta and some fireworks, fireworks that didn't start until 1:00 in the morning, but they were pretty cool for a private fireworks show. Fun day! Side: BBQ and Fireworks

Well, the sun went behind the mountains a bit after 10pm, but it really didn't get dark enough for fireworks until well after midnight, and we had to let the little kids get their firecrackers and things out of the way first, you know how it is... :) It was pretty funny, most of the people we celebrated the 4th of July with weren't even American citizens, but they're still pretty grateful of the jobs they can get here and the system in Alaska, especially being able to earn $42/hour and only working half the year. It was eye opening for me, hearing some native Spanish speakers talking to each other. I can only understand small fragments of what they say. I was pretty tired for the hour and a half ride home, but it was a great day. (Ugh!!! I wasn't alerted to this!) Side: BBQ and Fireworks

Had a wonderful time with friends on our rooftop deck. Also had fun shooting off some of our own and jamming out to some good tunes. Could see the entire Chicago skyline including a 360 degree view of the city. Between the city and local we had fireworks beyond the 1am mark. Interesting observation....the "lesser off" neighborhoods had more fireworks in the air than the "better off". Side: Worked
Apparently fireworks were cancelled in a TON of cities this year (made me really pissed off). I was hoping to stay in Phoenix and see them here, but my husband and I suddenly had an opening to drive up to Monterey in CA to see his family, so we went for it. And Monterey county had no fireworks whatsoever. Not even Salinas. Nearest one must've been in San Jose, an hour away. Totally lame. But otherwise, we had a small family barbecue and I watched TV and basically kind've forgot it was even a holiday that was destroyed, this year. :-( Side: Worked
