"I can be an asshole to,"

was what he said after stating the reason Republicans were able to get more done with a smaller majority of representitives was because they were assholes,

you're right, that was completely nuts...

and telling people that there are going to be death panels, our president wasn't born in the US, comparing him to a fascist dictator, calling for secession, believing were on the cusp of some socialist (or fascist, depending on the mood of the moment) dictatorship, believing we elected a terrorist as President,

this is all logical and sane behaviour...

Side: in an intelligent maner

He only said he was an asshole afterwords in order to do some "on the spot damage control" ;)

Though he is correct that Republicans are ass holes, the left is just as immature as the right.

Well to say that they all call names like that is just as immature as to say "they're ass holes". I wont sink down to that level.

But yes, the left tends to be more immature in general.

The thing is, the left wants to be hip. Whatever that takes. Being kind of funny, telling people what they want to hear, going with the popular easy decisions, getting their favorite pop stars on their side etc.

That's why he said it I think. To be cool.

I love how the right accuses the left of star f---ing, yet it's the right who is always electing celebrities...

I would never be in favor of somebody being elected for being a star no matter what side they are on. Now if they are qualified, and I agree with them, and they happen to be a star, then I don't mind voting for them.

But that's not really what I was talking about.

Uh.... the same way the right wingers deal with left wingers, throwing mud at each other.

Side: they call them names

It's not how left wingers deal with right wingers, it's more like....

How do right wingers deal with nuts like this guy. The answer is, they force him to resign; damn commie! ;)

1. That ladies question was very valid, and very intelligent.

2. The response was very funny, and if you don't believe the right can be assholes, watch some videos of their town halls where they heckle the crippled, and tell single mothers who are already working to "get a job."

3. You'll notice he said "I can be an asshole" - hence, quit crying.

4. Mature? Who said that on the other side? If you want to compare that town hall, to the town halls going on with the right, I think it would be pretty much unanimous which is less mature (hint: the right)

5. Because the left does deal with the right in an intelligent manner is exactly why it is so much harder for the left to get things done,

they're busy doing things like compromising, and coming up with intelligent solutions, while the right just raises terror alerts and calls you a commy if you disagree.

Side: in an intelligent maner

OMG! You actually believe that! The left needs the right more than the right needs the left. I mean, think about it, who's going to pay for all of those liberal programs :)

But I'll grant you that the right needs the left if only for entertainment purposes ;)

You do realize I'm pulling your chain, right ;)

1. Yes it was. And it did not get a valid answer.

2. It wasn't THAT funny but the audience loved it. More because they liked what they heard I think.. Anyways, that's just it, EVERYBODY can be an a-hole. They are on both sides of the isle. I have never seen that meeting but don't think I'm ready to defend somebody just because they are on the right. Like I always say, a-holes are everywhere.

3. I didn't catch that but it's clear that it's true. Because it was just an a-hole thing to say. (; And who's crying? I love a good example to point out flaws on the left. (;

4. That was me that said that. And I stick to what I said. When asked great questions about healthcare, they get answers like: I don't understand this rudeness. hence: dodging the question [clearly immature and the left does it more]

5. Oh is THAT why? That explains a lot. (;

6. Funny you bring up 'commies' that guy used to call himself one. Did you know? Now he works at the white house, ..GREAT.

We try.... But it just gets so frustrating when the people you're talking to don't understand how stupid they are... Eventually you just get so angry you need to yell at them.

Side: in an intelligent maner

They try to point out how radical their views really are by comparison to the people's wishes. Sometimes they do call names but not to the extent they would have you believe.

i have alot of friends who are right wingers, but i dont usually talk politics with them. i think the majority of people are not very political. they have their ideas and thoughts, but theyre not going to just come out all of a sudden and say, "we need to privatise everything!".
