How good does Heroes Season 3 have to be to make up for Season 2?
While clearly suffering due to the writer's strike, Season 2 of Heroes was clearly a sophomore slump. From Hiro's boring adventure to feudal Japan to Peter conveniently forgetting he could read Adam Munroe's mind, the show constantly cut corners, refusing to better flesh out plot lines in favour of bringing the season to a close before the writers strike shut it down. NBC really, for a show that could have been its flagship, should have paid attention to what ABC was doing with Lost and waited until January to start the season. Maybe then story arch could have received the rich development they deserved after a fantastic inaugural season. Season 3 really need to be incredible . . . really, really incredible. |
