Someone is being dominated in a game of chess. A few people decide to support them by giving them extra pieces, pawns, knights, castles. There are also a few spectators who are just watching. Then someone comes along and decides to burn down the entire building to help. Yes, they are preventing the game from being lost, but also murdering both players, all the people helping the losing side, all the spectators and themselves.

That is what it is to say "we have nukes".

As a species, we must choose the lesser evil today, lest we never get a choice again

1 in 2000 Ukrainian people dying is terrible, but incomparable to genocide.

Nuclear war is utterly catastrophic for all parties involved. There is no vaguely positive outcome. The best case scenario would be the complete annihilation of the US, Russia, and Ukraine. It would become impossible to live on half the planet, the other half facing extreme environments murdering billions of innocent souls.

But that doesn't mean there is nothing we can do. Helping others peacefully, even as an individual makes a difference. Simply not fueling anger and war will help the world become a better place, one step at a time.

Try not to be a spectator, donating pieces is okay, but certainly do not burn down the building.

Violence is often the easiest option, but it is never the best

The human species is wonderful. We have made miraculous achievements and created amazing things. The very fact that intelligent life exists is spectacular. So be happy, rejoice that despite all the adversities, struggles, and anger in our society, we have managed to survive, to endure, to prosper.

I hope we will at least hesitate before we decide to wipe clean our small patch of life in this astoudingly beautiful universe.

Biden has no spine, morals, or standards, so we'll probably sit there and watch. This is the same person who left Afghanistan and said oops to leaving thousands of Americans behind with no chance to escape. Would not have happened under Trump.
