Countries are investing huge amounts of money for their children to learn English. Here in Madrid a native English speaker charges around 20 euros an hour for classes due to the huge demands. Despite the financial crisis the community of madrid employs 1300 native speakers for 15 euros an hour just to have conversations with school kids. I can't see any trend towards any other language.
