I am neither stitious nor superstitious. To be superstitious is, in my opinion to be afflicted with a form of madness. Therefore to be stitious would mean that you a little less mad that someone who was superstitious, but nevertheless mad.

You cannot choose what superstitious means. The English language is the English language. Wether you speak it or not.

It has nothing to do with changing the definition. He thinks people who follow the definition of superstitious are mad.

Your head is obviously full of scrambled eggs instead of brains. Being superstitious is a mental condition which ''in my opinion'' is an irrational state of mind, just as it is ''my opinion'' that being obsessively religious is a form of madness. The use of the noun 'madness does not in any way alter the definition of the adjectives superstitious nor stitious.

I would say I am a little sitious. (BTW: is "stitious" really a word? I never heard it before, on its own, without the "super" pre-fix. Just curious.

But yeah, so, OK, I am an atheist and not religious at all, as most of you around here know. I'm a science guy, and usually embrace logic and rationality. And I am not sure sometimes what the difference is between being sort of addicted to certain habits and being supersitious.

Like I have little habits I do that for some reason make me feel better if I do them. Or maybe they will bring me luck since I did them in the past and had good results. Athletes are some of the most superstitous poeple you'll ever meet. When I played hockey I had several customs, or superstitions, if you will.

I would always tie my skates the same exact way, with the right thread crossing over the left. And I had to put my uniform in the exact same order. I ate the same snacks before each game. The exact same energy drink. My sticks had to be taped the exact same way. My right foot always had to come out on the ice first, before my left.

Today, I do not step on lines like in parking lots or asphalt. Painted lines. I usually avoid stepping on sidewalk cracks. I do the knock on wood thing all the time when I mention something good happening, so it will continue to.

So I guess I am guilty. If I really thought about it, I could stop any of these customs, and deep down in my heart--really, my brain!--I realize these are silly little habits I have and nothing bad is really gonna happen if I don't do them. But it's sort of a fun little ritual I reckon.

Yes it is you fool. Google it. A rational interpretation of the adjective stitious would be to be a little superstitious. To be SUPER-stitious would mean to be stitious in a big way. It would therefore be wrong to use a double negative and say that you were a little stitious as you did. I'm afraid it's back to school for you old bean.

I am being forced to be- wait is stitious even supposed to be used like this? Anyways, I am being forced to be superstitious and to believe everything, but I won't fall for it, like I keep saying "is there tons of evidence it does _?" I don't believe in things that are too hyped about and really wanted to have attention. Take Santa as an example; if he did exist, he would have high chances of being killed or captured if he was "friendly enough." Krampus, in general, is not able to exist. I will never believe him because Santa wouldn't allow this devil to attack bad children. It's like saying one person could have life while the other couldn't exist. So I am not- I'm pretty sure this is not how you use the word- superstitious. You can't force me to believe in TONS of stuff.

...ok what the hell are you saying again? Meat doesn't have to do with sti- this still isn't a word!- stitious.

Edit: I see what you mean. Yet that sounds like a fact more of a thing not to believe in.

It makes me sad to think of all the haters out there hating on the stitious people. If you are stitious, stay strong and don't let the haters get to you. Being a little stitious never hurt anyone. Why should they care how stitious you are. As long as you are not super, duper, stitious, you should be OK.
