Humans are neither good nor bad inherently. When a baby is born it doesn't hate anyone or love anyone, it doesn't have any malicious or benevolent thoughts, it just wants to have it's needs met. Depending on numerous factors (which can get somewhat complex) almost any baby can grow up to be a serial killing lunatic or the exact opposite. For example if you take two clone babies who are exactly identical, raise one in a crack house and subject it to multiple ass rapings, malnutrition etc. it will probably grow up to be a crack dealer and an ass rapist. If you raise the other clone in an underwater city with perfect nutrition and a wealth of scientific information at it's fingertips, it will probably grow up to be a marine biologist.

@Daegonius

Yes--although people are not 'blank slates' nor infinitely malleable. We have innate inclinations, as other animals do. Some of which could be considered 'good' others 'bad' and everything in-between.

For instance, a similar answer could be given for many Mammals that have been domesticated vs. wild. Although, I certainly do accept your point and witnessing that behavior in other Mammals who were born/or lived with humans from a early age onward I find fascinating. It shows how strongly environmental factors play in the developmental process.

Side Note: I much like the movie "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" for similar reasons to what you have discussed here (amongst others)

If that is true, and I believe it is, we should consider that MOST humans are NOT Christians, Therefor you don't HAVE to be Christian to be good. Many ARE Christian AND good, many are NOT, and good. Many are atheist, and good. I wish more, in the minority, would understand that.
