CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
I think I'm going to steal half of Bernie's signs since I don't have any
Don't be ridiculous.
I don't have ANY Bernie signs or any other signs) but Bernie has more than he needs, so we should get 70% of Bernie's signs.
To be fair, once we divided 70% of the signs by 330,000,000, it would be doubtful of us would get a whole sign, or even enough of a sign to be good for anything.
I'm afraid I can't do that Marcus. How do I know you won't try to eat me if I act serious?

I would like to donate my signs to Mexico to feel like a good person.

I'm willing to risk it to get enough sign to build a home for microbes. I'm that Socialisty. I provide for even the invisible ones on our planet. If the microbe could possibly make everyone sick, it doesn't matter. You can't judge all microbes in a box like that...
Explain to us how you reached that conclusion, given that he didn't get elected in the primaries.
we should get 70% of Bernie's signs.
Interestingly, you began by talking about not being ridiculous, then dove right into ridiculousness with a headfirst plunge.
Well, that's socialism for you
No it isn't socialism. It's a straw man argument manufactured by a corrupt capitalist who is trying to misrepresent socialism in the most ridiculous way possible.
I've a better idea. Why not simply open up a book written by the guy you spend your entire waking life attacking and read it? You evidently read Mussolini and Hitler fervently, but never Marx. Why is that? Did Hitler tell you he was a bad man?
1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
Interestingly, you began by talking about not being ridiculous, then dove right into ridiculousness with a headfirst plunge.
Yes, yet you seem to have missed the point entirely.
Had you understood what you were reading, what you would have written is "Ironically, you began by talking about not being ridiculous, then dove right into ridiculousness with a headfirst plunge."
Try to keep up.
We started with a prompt that was already ridiculous. I stated that. Then, instead of making the expected less ridiculous proposition, I followed it up with an even more ridiculous proposition. This dual contradiction (reasonable vice unreasonable, and less vice more ridiculous) is the clear signal that I was making an ironic statement.
I then explained how the statements were ridiculous, and tied it back to the point of the prompt, which was the unreasonable nature of Sanders' socialist intentions. My statements expanded the point to encompass the economic disaster that socialism brings to any society on which it is imposed.
The term for that collection of statements is satire.
"Identify irony", and "recognize and interpret satire" are standard aspects of the high school English Language Arts curriculum in most school districts in the US, although it is not unusual to begin introducing the concepts in the 7th or 8th grade.
And we shouldn't expect that from a conservative? All the voter fraud that's showing up (that they said was happening) actually WAS! They just didn't admit that THEY were doing it … that's how they KNEW! Tearing up Bernie's signs would be a minimal action from a proud "patriotic" conservative. After all, Trumpy SAID the system was "rigged". That's how he WON! Bront, you're HIS type of guy! Maybe a cabinet position is in your future? Do you have a spare billion or so?? No? Well, then, maybe you need a pardon?? He LOVES loyalty. ;-)
Never tried "weed", donuts or otherwise. Never smoked cigarettes (beyond "trying"), never liked the things. My wife smoked for about 15 years after I married her (and before). Bourbon and sex are my vices ….. and I've cut down on them. Still do donuts with my car though … when my wife's not with me. ;-)
Thank you. This is confirmation that you really DON'T know WTF you are talking about. Did you confirm this knowledge on the internet?? You should be able to, or maybe on FAUX News?? It surly fits a plethora of other facts you find "proof" for, fake news par excellance! (Fr)
No, you are simply wrong on both counts, as happens quite often in your replies. Guess you spend too much time absorbing Trumpisms, can't tell the facts from the fiction. YOU, on the other hand ……...
Shut up liar. You distort, omit, deceive, cherry-pick data and that's when you're not lazy and just outright make stuff up. Every solitary word you write bears an inverse square relationship to the truth.
