It was wrong for him to ban you from the debate. You are entitled to your opinion and he shouldn't have banned you for what you expressed.

Looks like you were just dealing with a douche mod. The FAQ seems to indicate that banning is appropriate for obscene and derogatory statements, but a number of people on here will ban someone just because they don't like the persons stance on the matter. In some cases, the mod will do it blatantly immediately before/after disputing your statement, ensuring that he or she gets the last word in.
