Just like any other country, America has its layer of stupid. Actually, it was a smear campaign against Hillary, combined with a hate campaign against a black President (the last President we had), that convinced a portion of the country to vote for a criminal. I would remind people that Trump only won a Gerrymandered "Electoral College", he LOST the popular vote by over 3,000,000 votes. That shows that the large majority of Americans didn't want Trump to be acting president, which is what he was. This time, though the numbers in favor of the idiot rose, the numbers of SANE Americans rose even further! This time to nearly 8,000,000, PLUS, he DID NOT EVEN WIN THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE! No. Americans, by a majority, are NOT stupid! Trump managed to become President through brainwashing and "false news" from right-wing media. I hope we have learned a lesson. I hope Constitutional changes will be made that will not allow this "stupidity" that was sold TO the stupid among "U.S." to happen again. The guilty MUST be punished. The new President doesn't have to have a thing to do with it, the Justice Department, the FBI and other security agencies and STATE agencies can lock these bastards up! Side: Fair Point

Even the idiots in Europe don't reject things like climate science, free healthcare or the dangers of guns. American are just in majority uneducated and lack basic critical thinking. Most are just trying to survive. Sure, but I think it is probably a little more sinister than that. Remember there was a "Cold War" against Bolshevism for many decades? Well, it was during that period that America first began to manufacture and distribute ideological propaganda. Perhaps it began with the best intentions, but I think once power learned how effectively it could manipulate public opinion it not only continued, but crept into all other aspects of American life. What we have to ask ourselves is why? Why do Americans lack critical thinking skills? And I think the answer can be found in the fact that people with critical thinking skills are significantly less likely to be manipulated by propaganda and/or consumer advertising. Critical thinking skills are viewed as detrimental to the prosperity of the American economy. Side: Fair Point

If the British aren't stupid, how did they come to be ruled by King Henry the Eighth? Or King James? Or every other king and queen in British history? Then, after all of that they elected Margaret Thatcher as prime minister so they couldn't even do Democracy right. If the French aren't stupid, how did they come to be ruled by overtly nitwitted, greedy fat kings for centuries? If the Russians aren't stupid, how did they manage to let a blundering old sado masochistic coot named Joseph Stalin rule their lives for 30 years? If Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Omen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Yemen, ...etc aren't all stupid, why were they once ruled by a petulant moron named Muhammad? If the Chinese aren't stupid, how did an entire region called Taiping follow a guy named Hong for claiming to be the brother of Jesus that led to their mass deaths in war with the Qing Dynasty? How did they come to be ruled by the biggest sado masochistic, worst leader in history Mao Zedong? The answer is obviously because Americans come from even more, insanely more stupid ancestors. You are attempting to justify the stupidity of Americans in the present day by grossly distorting things which happened in the past, and then pretending that the Chinese having a dictator two millennia ago somehow makes it OK for Americans to vote against their own best interests in the present.
