Unfortunately, whether people like to hear it or not, we are responsible for most of our suffering. Putting the blame on an all-powerful being, relieves us of our responsibility and keeps us from taking steps to correcting the problem.

We can choose to:

Not have children we can't feed.

Provide medical resources to all.

Stop outsourcing jobs.

Test for diseases pre-natal.

Learn to live with less so corporations don't run everything.

Or we could just complain and leave it all up to the "God."

I'd God exists, then we are his ant farm, his sole form of entertainment. The more sadistic people find it entertainng to see somethng suffer, and God is one hell of a sadist.

Because he is the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.

We are all sinners who fall short of the glory of God, but rest assured, despite earthly suffering, those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be rewarded with everlasting life in paradise.

One thing though, what are you supposed to do for fun when you're there? I mean, hanging out with some warmongering bloodthirsty sexist racist baby-killing douche for all eternity doesn't really sound like a good time.

I find this VERY biased to call people who support abortion are horrible. Tell me this, if a 12 year old is raped then gets pregnant (lets call her Lucy), should she have to keep this baby in THIS economy? Or if a college student is violated while she is just "having some fun" with friends, then should she have her newborn sitting inside the classrooms, maybe even getting kicked out of college and ruining her life?

Because God doesn't exist. It's been proven time and time again. I'm presuming you're a Christian or a Catholic, correct?

If you were born in India you would practice Hinduism, if you were born in Bago-bago, an island in the southeast of Papua New Guinea, you would believe in a different tribal religion.

There is so much evidence it's mind boggling to believe that actual intelligent humans believe in such craziness.

This is a debate, not an insult contest.

Theism has not been disproven, and it probably never will be.

Evolution/other forms of atheist believings require more study: it's still a theory.

No. You know what needs to be tested? Creationism. It has absolutely NO scientific evidence that proves it. According to it, some possibly non-existing being snapped his fingers and created the world. On the other hand, evolution, THE SCIENCE BEING TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS, has countless pieces of evidence supporting the idea that current man is descended from apes.

It is a time to test ones trust in God or faith. He is testing us.

He is testing us.

•As the primal child tests the ants with his looking glasses, or as the maddened neurosurgeon tests his victim's humanity with grotesque manipulation?

No, what your saying is he is torturing us? Don't twist my meaning. All of this shit that is happening world wide is because of man. The 'Natural' man is the enemy of god. The natural man is driven by lust. And we live in the results of the the 'natural' man.

God is testing our faith for those of us who believe in him.

Replace God with pet rock, milk jug or tampon and you'll find the tests are the same and so are the results....funny how that works.

He does. God gave us something called free will. He's a gentleman. He won't interfere if you stand idle and hope for him. You must actively seek his assistance. If you, however, attempt to TEST God, it's not likely he will hear your request.

We're responsible for what we do. Even though god helps us, he leaves it up to us to how we run the world. If we fail, that's our problem. Unless it gets really bad.

This is a great question. It is now 2015 and I keep thinking the same thing. I wish I knew the answer.
