If Hitler was in England, would he have come to power?

‘if Hitler was in Britain, we hope we wouldn’t have voted for him’ - is this the case though? I personally feel no, but what do you think?

I just made this up, it might start us off - There are of course the cynics that believe that ‘if Hitler was in Britain, we hope we wouldn’t have voted for him’, but this is just simply untrue. If Britain was in the state that Germany was, and a Hitler-type escape route presented itself, we would have voted for him, he provided Germany with exactly what they both wanted and needed. He dug them out of the Depression, he restored ‘justice’ by over throwing the Treaty of Versailles and he was different, a change, essentially he did for Germany what Lenin did for Russia

This question goes beyond the hypothetical question because one, Hitler was only elected because he promised change due to the WWI and bad government polices, and two, the circumstances are beyond imagination.

If Stalin was in Mexico, would America be communist? Thought i should add the complete other possibility.

tony blair, gordon brown, and david cameron came to power, and i find they are very similiar to hitler. i dont know why people think hitler is so bad when their own governments are doing the same thing.

To compare Blair, Brown and Cameron shows you have absolutely no idea of Hitler's politics or policies...and no sense of history.

People think Hitler was bad because he was a genocidal maniac who turned an enlightened nation into a murderous machine of death...

I can only assume your views are a product of higher education today.

No he won't. The queen or king of England and the government would not even place him in power of the English forces. Winston Churchill would have remained prime minister.
