I think Yes Mr.Witter should take paternity leave because yes he is a cool teacher he is the best one in the world and he is going to be a dad again and what I think and believe is that he needs to be there for his son he still be there for us next year but his son is more important right now in this moment and as kids we understand that and one more thing i like to add he is probably watching us right now. :)

I think that he should take paternity leave because a baby needs all the attention right now that his little. His students I'm sure that they will understand. I wouldn't mind if he didn't come back the rest of the year because his thought us a lot of things that we didn't know. Is like we are paying him back for that. I think that he should stay with his baby and give him all the love he can.

I'm in favor of gremartinez because thats true; Babies specially, need more attention because this is the time for them to develop and grow with their parents by their side.

I think men should take paternity leave. Because their job might not be as important as their spouses or they can work out a schedule better then their spouses. There is nothing wrong with them taking the leave. There just being a good parent. And it shows they care about their child.

i think that you should because the family go first than the job. You can help your wife to take care of the baby.

Yes i think that you should take paternity leave, so that you can take care of you kids because you're children are more important than you're work. Not that you should stop working all together but, you should be able to take time off for your kids.

Well, I am a woman so I get maternity leave (if that ever happens), however at AOL they give 2 weeks paternity leave. My old manager is currently out with his new baby as I speak(type?). I think men should take advantage if it's offered. Having a newborn must be a challenge and I think if I just gave birth I would like to have someone around to help with the kiddo.

I think that he should have paternity leave because the most important thing i life is the baby. The students can handle everything here since we learned a lot. The baby needs him right now and he should stay with him for a long time till the baby gets used to it.

I definitely think men should take paternity leave. They are also responsible for the baby and should help their wife take care of him/her. Working is very important, but a new baby is definitely a top priority and needs attention.

I think it is totally fair for men to take paternity leave. It can be very stressful for a women to take care of a baby alone while the husband is away and it allows time for bonds with the father and the child to develop. so if i had the choice i would take a paternity leave.

Yes,I think that men should be able to take paternity leave beause I think that they should be able to help take care of the baby as a newborn and not miss anything from begining to end.

Of course I would take paternity leave. My wife could take off with the child and then I could take off after her so the child could stay out of day care as long as possible. I don’t think very many people are really going to say no to getting paid for not being at work. However there may be some people who do not use paternity leave in the most responsible way.

How long do you think is reasonable? 2 weeks seems short to me, 2 month would be awesome. From the POV of the company, however, it is a major drag on earnings to pay people for not doing any work. What is the economic incentive to give Dad's time off from work?

This is the third time in 4 years that I have taken paternity leave. I have taken 6 weeks off, but the only reason I got paid was because I had worked for 10 years without taking more than 2 days off. If I had had the days, I still could have taken the time off, but I would not have been paid.

The district still has to pay for a sub in my absence, so what is in it for them?

1) Loyalty. I would hesitate before moving to another district.

2) Develop Professionalism. By treating me like the professional I am, and not just an employee who punches a clock, they foster an environment of professionalism. My performance improves.

3) Truth in Advertising. Many businesses say children and families are important. I don't think every business has to say that, but if they say it they should back it up with actions.

What reasons did I miss?

I would want to spend time with my baby and see it go through those first few days at the house. It is a critical time for you and the baby, so why miss it?

Indeed, because it's not just for women. I think that both parents should particpate in the relationship.

I think men should take a paternity leave because they need to see and take care of their children too. They also need to help the wife other than taking care of the baby. This also would give the equal rights instead of women getting the paternity leave.

Maternity leave shouldn't just be for women- some of them might want help from their husband as well. And men probably want to be there for their kids too, and take care of them because they love them that much.

I think its good for someone to take a paternity leave because that means how much you care for your child. It dosent matter if Mr. Witter dosent come back because he did his job here and now he needs a break and time to take care of his little one.

yes i would becuse, i get to spend time with my baby, and it gives me time to think on about what will i do when i return,

I think they should cause sometime men just need a break and when the chance come i would taake it.

i think that they should because the mom may not be able to handle it and there maybe more variables to it than just taking care of the baby

Side: Yes

yes because your son/daughter is not going to be there always, it just happen once and you have to be there for them because they need you.

I believe everyone has their duty to their family and they go first than everything else. I think that Mr.witter is just taking care of his baby and thats just fine.

If I had a chance, i would totally leave, because my job isn't more important than my kid. Even that would be hard for the family, i would totally support my partner, and i would try to figure one or other way to suppor our kid. But yes i would live, so i can be a little bit more with my baby.

Side: Yes

I think yes, because a human life is much more important than a job, because by taking care of a child you can be growing somebody that it will be something important in the future.

Side: Yes

Yes i would take the opportunity to go on paternity leave because children at that tender age need to be taken care of by their dad if the mom is not available. Plus, who wouldn't want to take time off work to spend at home?

if i had a chance to take paternity leave i think i wouldnt do it. i think that its the womans responsibility to do that. it might be nice to be with your child but i still think that its not right for a man to leave his job
