If Kavanaugh needs no evidence of guilt, would the Dems need evidence on you?
Seeing that the Democrats keep shouting that Kavanaugh is guilty, regardless of a lack of evidence, will they need any evidence if they ever go after YOU?
Perhaps that will be my default answer to Libs in the future.
Lib: But he....
Bronto: I like his tie.
AWESOME!
If personal style becomes everything in politics, then Vogue and Esquire will take the place of the Washington Post and the New York Times. Nothing would actually change, though. This is how it would go.
Candidate: I will only appoint Constitutional conservatives and people who dress conservatively to the bench.
Vogue: "He was wearing a half Windsor knot on a checked tie."
Candidate: Fake news! It was a four-in-hand on a hound's tooth tie.
Crazy leftist on CNN: Hound's tooth! See! See! It is a dog whistle to the racists.
Racist liberal on MSNBC: The candidate NEVER wears bow ties. You know who does wear bow ties? Louis Farrakhan. The fact that the candidate on the right never wears bow ties PROVES he hates Muslims AND black people! Conservative dressers are racists.
Candidate: I just cannot figure out how to tie bow ties, but we'll see.
...Later, the candidate figures out how to tie a bow tie, and wears one.
Racist liberal, this time on CNN: Cultural appropriation!
Esquire Op Ed: Nazis wore black ties. The candidate wore a black tie at a formal fundraising event. Clearly he is a nazi..
Perhaps that will be my default answer to Libs in the future.
Lib: But he....
Bronto: I like his tie.
Hello again, bront:
The Constitution says the Senate should advise and consent. It does NOT tell the Senators what criteria to use. You think they should use yours.. Dude!
Look.. If a senator wants to vote against Kavanaugh because Republicans STOLE the seat, the Constitution says he can. I'm FINE with that.
I thought right wingers LOVED the Constitution.. No, huh?
The Constitution says the Senate should advise and consent. It does NOT tell the Senators what criteria to use. You think they should use yours.. Dude!
I think they should use your standard, and just take the vote because they can.
You say “stole” as if the Republicans did something illegal, even though they merely used their numbers, as is the function of a democratic republic and is perfectly in keeping with the Constitution. Meanwhile you call lies and slander “ hardball politics”. You should consider closely what political action you find acceptable. Do it without parties in mind. Then be honest with yourself when your guys are in the wrong.
Republicans cited a 1992 speech by then-senator Joe Biden, arguing that if a Supreme Court seat became vacant during the summer, President Bush should wait until after the election to appoint a replacement, or else appoint a moderate acceptable to the then-Democratic Senate.

So pretty much the same argument for why the NFL can tell players not to kneel and not hire Kaepernick.
Hello bront:
Two things can be true at the same time..
The NFL CAN fire Kaepernick - clearly, he's NOT presently employed by them. And the NFL cannot tell a player he can't kneel unless it's in their contract..
"SportsDay examined the issue, reviewing the NFL's game operations manual and consulting a First Amendment legal expert.
By NFL policy, Jones isn't alone in recommending players stand. The NFL's 260-page game operations manual includes literature on it as well, though the guide is not made public nor sent to players - just sent to clubs each year.
"The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game," the manual reads, per an NFL spokesperson. "And all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.
"During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition."
The manual says players and coaches should be reminded that "we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country." Jones agreed Tuesday, noting that "so much of what we do is about the perception [and] image that we have."
And regarding discipline? The league doesn't outline policies for "disrespecting" the flag, as Jones warned, nor does it list repercussions for not standing at attention and holding helmets in the left hand. But it does allow for discipline.
For example, "Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses."
Jones said Tuesday that at its core, sideline behavior during the national anthem is a workplace issue."
1. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Sunday that any player who disrespects the flag won't play in Cowboys games. What are the legal ramifications to a statement like that?
Probably none. He's a private employer so he's free to make any rules he wants that infringe on free speech. He's totally unconstrained legally.
The NFL players association issued a statement that owners said they would respect the constitutional rights of our members without retribution. But prohibiting kneeling during the anthem doesn't violate constitutional rights, does it?
That is correct. It protects your right to have opinions against government intrusion, not to exercise that right at work.
But prohibiting kneeling during the anthem doesn't violate constitutional rights, does it?
Hello again, bront:
Sure it does.. You have a right to petition your government, I presume ANYWHERE and at ANYTIME the citizen desires, WITHING certain restraints..
Look.. I've run restaurants.. Some waiters think they have a Constitutional right to tell a customer whether he should drink or not. He doesn't. As a manager, I have the right to demand my employees DO what I hired them to do..
If the football players took a knee on the field of play during a game with the intent to DISRUPT the game, the same legal notions apply. But, BEFORE the game begins, the players aren't on the owners time..
Plus, what the players association or the owners think is Constitutional law, is nothing more than OPINION..

Did you hire them to take a knee? If not, sucks to be them.

Logic:
As soon as they put that jersey on, they are on their employer's time. Once they are on their employer's property, they represent said employer.
The law:
The employer can fire them for not liking their tie.
Plus, what the players association or the owners think is Constitutional law, is nothing more than OPINION.
Free speech law is pretty straight forward. You can say almost anything, and the law can't touch you. You can say almost nothing, and your employer can touch you.
The exceptions to the above are child pornography, screaming fire in a crowded building, creating a riot, etc.
But prohibiting kneeling during the anthem doesn't violate constitutional rights, does it?

SUPER STUPID refers to restaurants , the Constitution and kneeling all in the same IGNORGANT rant LMMFAO ! SUPER STUPID do any of you LEFTIST have one brain cell left ?????????
Personally, even IF I believed him, I'd NEVER hire the snarling asshole I saw on TV, for a LIFETIME appointment to the highest court in the land..
But you'd hire the snarling assholes in the Democrat Party for 30 years and a former klansman for 50 years. Even a man who lied about fighting in Vietnam, a woman who lied about being Native to help herself in college, a man who attended a USSR kibbutz, a man who appointed an open Communist to head the CIA, and a woman who held an alleged rape allegation for months with nerry a peep.
Of course, we both know that if he hadn't "snarled", your argument would be, "if he was innocent, why didn't he snarl?" eh Con?
Even IF all you say is true, is that reason enough to put a snarling asshole on the Supreme Court for the rest of his life???
The Democrats forced a virgin school boy nerd to snarl at them. Cool.
Speaking of snarling. I did not. I repeat. I did not have sexual relations with that young lady. These allegations are false. Now I need to go back to work for the American people.
Nah, you are an inhuman fool that would never hire a man who might actually give the right to life for viable babies.
Say it like it is.... abortion controls your every thought. You are controlled by the radical Left Feminist groups. You fear someday getting a woman pregnant and having to actually support your child!
