If church's preach politics, should they LOSE their tax exemption?
https://www.pewresearch.org/
According to the PEW Research Center, among churches that posted their sermons, homilies or worship services online between Aug. 31 and Nov. 8, 2020, two-thirds posted at least one message from the pulpit mentioning the election.
We ONLY grant religious exemptions BECAUSE the religious institution PROMISES not to involve themselves in politics. Yet, they do.
Seems to me, their exemptions should be revoked. If it was, the income to the US Treasury would be TRILLIONS of $$$'s. That's a lotta hay.
Or, I'd be happy if church's went back to being church's.

Your statement is racist. Since June 19, 2020 the AP changed its guidelines. "“Not having a capital letter has felt disrespectful,” said David Lanham" TrailorTrash does have a point though. Losing tax exempt status may hurt Black people more than white. Just look at all the historical, institutional, interpersonal, and personal racism Black people have to endure. In conclusion, white people have more money and could afford to keep their churches open. Due to racism which leads to lower earnings, wealth, and inter-generation wealth BIPOC people would be hurt more than this. Side: No

Religious people have no business of any kind with political elections because their citizenship of heaven are from a kingdom. On that day when the kingdom of God establishes itself on earth the new leaders will be elected having God's son appointing them, not by popular elections. Democracy is a world thing. Was created by Romans, when rich and influential dudes wanted to have a cut from the power of the king or emperor. In those times regular citizens didn't elect anyone. The emperor was elected by the rich and powerful. Same in the new United States. At the beginning the carpenter, the bricklayer, women, and etc. weren't allowed to vote, and reasons were because illiteracy and not being considered worthy enough to decide the future of the new nation. Democracy itself enjoys strong ramifications to be essential part of the Beast. The Beast of Revelation is a political/economical/social power which will rule the world. At this present moment, democracy has not been only chosen as their political model by the nations but has been also imposed to countries.Today, if a country decides not to be democratic, then the Beast makes economical boycott against that country to subdue it and force it to change its mind. This is why in the book of Revelation it is told to religious people to get aside from politics, because politics is poison to the spirit. and the elected leaders are becoming the same Satan in power, the whole democratic system is corrupt as hell... or not? Think about the Catholics okay. Not all denominations of Christianity want to be involved in politics. But yes, I believe so because think about what the Catholics have done in the past. They funded for crusades and violence when they could've pursued better peaceful solutions. The Church is supposed to be a place of worship not a place of war planning etc. The Catholics have a large history of exhorting the populace by lying to them about "getting a freeway into Heaven" if they do pay. It's just not what Jesus taught. You don't serve money and God okay? You can't serve two masters. You serve God or you don't. Side: Yes

I am ambivalent about this topic. On one hand Christanity has done a lot of harm. Have you heard about all the violence in the name of pro-life? Against doctors often trying to save a stressed out pregnant women or girl. Even worse Ronald Regan de-funded abortion clinics overseas leading to more deaths than all the witch trials put together according to Misogyny the World's Oldest Prejudice. On the other hand rich white people can afford to keep their churches while racialized people will get hurt more. Side: No
