If evolution is true, then why do Eskimos exist?
Did they evolve from Arctic Gorillas or Polar Bears?

I'm not sure you understand the process within the theory. Evolution doesn't postulate that different populations of people came from different ape like origins. The idea is that after humans evolved, they migrated. I really thought you were going to argue with the fact that they are dark complected despite lighter skin being more advantageous in the far north, but whatever. 1

Evolution doesn't postulate that different populations of people came from different ape like origins. The postulate in the description was only satire. The idea is that after humans evolved, they migrated. Exactly. So I guess we would firstly have to figure out if the ice people had always lived in their icy areas. That's what I'm wanting to know, because I am sure Apes could not have survived in that climate and I am not sure when humans figured out how to build water vessels, so that they could migrate. If the ice people had always been there, then that would be a hole in the evolution theory. I really thought you were going to argue with the fact that they are dark complected despite lighter skin being more advantageous in the far north, but whatever. That would have been lamer, it's already been done many times. 1

Overpopulation and a search for more resources were likely what caused them to expand outside of Africa. Initially they did stick to the warmer climes, but it was very slow progression further north. Over generations it became easier to adapt (socially and technologically) to these environments. After time, they were as suited to their own environment as any other group anywhere else. That is one of the things about humans, our massive intellectual capacity helps us overcome our physical limitations, so that we can move out anywhere, unlike most other species who tend to be stuck in fairly specific locations. 0

Well I assumed that was your question because otherwise the debate is stupid. Eskimos are modern Homo sapiens. They evolved the same way and moved to their current location. Because people are in a certain area doesn't mean every one of their ancestors evolved in that area up to them. People do travel you know... |
