If evolution is true, then why do Eskimos exist?

Did they evolve from Arctic Gorillas or Polar Bears?

I don't troll Christians...I don't troll. That word hurts a lot...

Please stay on topic.

It was Atrag that downvoted you...not me....Idk why, maybe he doesn't like you.

I don't care. . .

They say that we evolved from Apes, yet how did Apes arrive in frozen tundras? Could Apes craft water vessels during earlier time periods??

1 point

I'm not sure you understand the process within the theory. Evolution doesn't postulate that different populations of people came from different ape like origins. The idea is that after humans evolved, they migrated.

I really thought you were going to argue with the fact that they are dark complected despite lighter skin being more advantageous in the far north, but whatever.

Evolution doesn't postulate that different populations of people came from different ape like origins.

The postulate in the description was only satire.

The idea is that after humans evolved, they migrated.

Exactly. So I guess we would firstly have to figure out if the ice people had always lived in their icy areas. That's what I'm wanting to know, because I am sure Apes could not have survived in that climate and I am not sure when humans figured out how to build water vessels, so that they could migrate. If the ice people had always been there, then that would be a hole in the evolution theory.

I really thought you were going to argue with the fact that they are dark complected despite lighter skin being more advantageous in the far north, but whatever.

That would have been lamer, it's already been done many times.

Dude, he's a troll, give up :P

Who the hell goes from Africa to Alaska and says, "Hey..., this is nice. Let's settle here!!!" ;)

1 point

Because Eskimos are not human. They are made of Permafrost, which is how they survive in those cold conditions.

1 point

That doesn't make any sense. If your only here to post nonsense, then I will have to eject you.

You have seriously never heard of the Bering Land Bridge?

Evolution is a lie...why would they go from such a nice climate to such a cold place...

Overpopulation and a search for more resources were likely what caused them to expand outside of Africa. Initially they did stick to the warmer climes, but it was very slow progression further north. Over generations it became easier to adapt (socially and technologically) to these environments. After time, they were as suited to their own environment as any other group anywhere else.

That is one of the things about humans, our massive intellectual capacity helps us overcome our physical limitations, so that we can move out anywhere, unlike most other species who tend to be stuck in fairly specific locations.

? They're still modern humans. Their skin pigment doesn't match their location because they've moved there fairly recently historically speaking and their thick clothes and vitamin D rich diet balances out the intense sun. On a side note troll...?

Actually, my anthropology teacher said they are darker skinned because of the sun reflecting off the ice...Some believe that they actually were lighter skinned, and then went through some reverse evolution to adapt to brighter climates, even if it's colder

The "fairly recent" explanation would make more sense I would think, since other north dwellers who live with lots of ice are paler.

I wasn't talking about no fucking skin pigment man.

Well I assumed that was your question because otherwise the debate is stupid. Eskimos are modern Homo sapiens. They evolved the same way and moved to their current location. Because people are in a certain area doesn't mean every one of their ancestors evolved in that area up to them. People do travel you know...
