They DON'T work! (Unless people consider their principles along with their freedoms)! Those who listen to some parrot screaming about FREEDOM and don't consider the rights of others MAKE them ineffective! If one doesn't consider the rights of first responders, nurses, doctors, to have the respect shown to THEM that they show to our LIVES, our FRIENDS, our FAMILIES, then they don't wear them! Today, even if they were worn some things would be shut down, but, NOT NEARLY AS MANY! Congratulations! You stood up for YOUR "freedoms" .... and cost many THEIRS! Masks aren't fool proof. They don't work 100% of the time. They're not going to prevent coronavirus from spreading completely they're only going to slow the spread. I think the masks are common sense saying they don't help is ignorance. Think about it like this if I'm naked and your naked and I pee on you your going to get pee all over you. If your wearing pants and I pee on you you're going to get some pee on you but not as much as if you were naked. Now if I'm wearing pants and pee your not going to get any pee on you. This fundamentally misunderstands the basic function of masks. A mask reduces the probability of transmission. Eliminating interpersonal contact eliminates the risk. When people don't do the former, the latter becomes more justified in the eyes of many. A significant part of why we're shut the fuck down is dumb ass motherfuckers not masking up voluntarily. For the record, I'm opposed to state imposed shutdowns. I'm also opposed to dumbfucks spreading harmful misinformation and throwing tantrums over masking up while in their next breath condoning totalitarianism. Side: To cripple liberal economies
