Here are the top ten schools in the world according to some site :) but they seem legitimate link

1 HARVARD University - US

2 YALE University - US

3 University of CAMBRIDGE - UK

4 University of OXFORD - UK

5 CALIFORNIA Institute of Technology - US

6 IMPERIAL College London - UK

7 UCL (University College London) - UK

8 University of CHICAGO - US

9 MASSACHUSETTS Institute of Technology (MIT) - US

10 COLUMBIA University - US

(Damn our socialistic education system! With it's affirmative action and payment plans for low income families! We're falling behind! lmao)

But the best school for Astrophysics theory I saw somewhere was Princeton... and Princeton is ranked a respectable 12, so I'd go with that :)

Caltech is my favorite. Beautiful campus, small school, smart as HELL school. Just hope I get in.

If you could put an Ivy League college in California? that's where I would go.

:)

Look at Stanford, even though they're one of my school's arch enemy in basketball, they're probably the closest thing on the West Coast to Ivy League.

The story goes, Mr. Stanford wanted to send his son to Harvard, or one of those Ivy League schools.

He and his wife showed up in their homespun clothes to meet with the Dean and inquire about tuition for their son,

The Dean snickered, seeing their ragged clothes and assuming there was no way they could afford it.

He went on to describe just how much it would cost to send their son to this Ivy League school,

Mr. Stanford sat patiently, showing no sign of irritation.

When the Dean was through, he asked with genuine curiousity, "just how much money does it take to run a place like this?"

The Dean told him with a smile.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanford headed back to CA that day,

and started Stanford University.

:) probably the coolest story I've ever heard, if true.

Nice! Yeah, I dunno. I got like a 2210 on the SAT and a 97ish GPA, so there's no way in hell I'd get into an Ivy League school =(. My sister's going to Yale, though, and I hear it's pretty cool.

For my undergrad (if I had it to do over again and it was free), Duke, because it's a seriously beautiful campus and the food is great for college food and they're always having live music and free drinks and all sorts of great things. And it's close-ish to where I grew up, so that would've been nice to be so close. And also, did I mention that it is seriously beautiful?

(Wishing I could embed pictures so hard right now!):

Oh! And they're environmentally with it.

For graduate school, I suppose University of Washington, because that's my dream school not for free, and I really want to move to Seattle, and it's the 8th best program in the country for what I want to go for. Going for free would totally rock my world.

I would go to Fordham, in the Bronx. They've got a great politics program, and that's what I would study if i could go back.

The University of Montana. The state is awesome, beautiful scenery.

Side: Montana

Somewhere in the Caribbean. They got some really cool beaches. Or maybe Rio De Janeiro (they go top less there). Oh, I may not learn much but I'd sure have some fun ;)

My choice would be Cornell for Architecture. `````````````````````````````````

School of mines- Denver, Colorado, USA.

Why? Simply because it has far less people there than normal, also it offers great engineering courses.

Of course an internship with CERN mixed in.
