If you get shot, do you care if it's called a hate crime or terrorism?
I've NEVER understood the designation "hate crime".. Seems to me if you KILL somebody, whether you hated him or not doesn't materially change a thing.

If you shoot someone, it could very well be because you hate them. It is only terrorism if you are trying to make a political statement. I don't care if someone is trying to make a statement, they hate me, or whatever. It is a crime to shoot someone. Motive is irrelevant to me. I don't think it is right to charge people with "hate crimes". Part of it even seems redundant. If someone shoots another, aren't they already potentially attempting murder? There are already a multitude of crimes attached to the simple act of shooting someone. Not saying that I'd mind them throwing the book at someone who goes around shooting people, but I don't care if they call it terrorism or a hate crime. Side: No

An act of terrorism IS a hate crime in my mind. If I was to be shot, I'd rather it be an accident even if I was killed. Nobody wants to die because some idiot hated enough to kill! Either way, I would be dead and out of it, but, I would hope the idiot that killed me on purpose would never be able to hold another gun and kill somebody else! But, then, HE has his Second Amendment rights! I, no longer, have ANY! We all know that the Second Amendment carries more weight than the alleged "Words of GOD", Thou Shalt Not KILL! Thou CANST KILL under thy Second Amendment IF YOU think the person deserveth, and you are faster! THAT is the rule of the NRA, One nation, under the NRA, with Liberty and Justice for the well armed! Not particularly. The two terms are synonymous. Yes, we all know. A leftist went to a country concert and killed conservatives. Yes, a leftist went to a softball game and shot Conservative members of Congress. Yes, a leftist went into a nightclub in Orlando and killed a bunch of homosexuals. We get it. We see it. Side: Yes.
