Why would they quit a job where they get free reign to act the bully boy in a country where cops will harass and fine drivers for the most minor of what they deem infractions of the law?
Also to call the obese slobs who are the norm in the US police force a “ police force “ is a joke 40% are grossly overweight and allowed to be so , overpaid , corrupt surly bully boys .....quit the goose that laid the golden egg? ......Yeah sure they will
Now Mr “freedom of speech “ you may do your usual and ban as I know you only want full agreement from your gallery
I believe you end up getting banned, because you can't go more than six words without either insulting someone, or making outright untrue statements about people that you don't even know.
I've only known two possibly overweight police officers in my lifetime. One retired with a practically standard career, and the other died in the line of duty when he shot in the back of the head.

If you don't like being fined for driving incorrectly, then I suggest you learn how to drive.
You don't have to be a bad driver to be subjected to the authoritarian and domineering behaviour of cops.
Too many police officers know that motorists are easy meat and will consequently be willfully antagonistic during a traffic stop.
Once these little Hitlers are satisfied that they've established control over you they become even more dictatorial.
Let's face it, until the availability of dash-cams a traffic cop could accuse the motorist of almost any violation and we'd either refute the false allegation and receive a ticket or, eat humble pie and apologise for the fictitious infringement.
The priority of most cops is to inflate their ego, and/or have a bit of fun, with the traffic infraction, real or contrived, taking second place.
These stops are more frequent and grilling if you drive one of the pretentiously called upmarket marque vehicles
Actually, in more cases than one would realize. These instances of police involvement turning out the way that they do. Usually boils down to the motorist not knowing their rights as an American citizen, or even their standard rights as a driver.
-
This also correlates to just what the higher rated traffic violations are. Seeing as speeding is easy enough to understand, that takes no real time to explain. The only caveat being, that the majority of recorded instances are around 20 miles above the posted speed limit, or more.
The other instances are more notable moving violations. Following too closely, running traffic signs/stop lights, reckless driving and improper changing of lanes.. etc.
-
As for calling them "little hitlers" that's just a gross mischaracterization. I've only known one bad officers, growing up and in my personal career combined, who's violated the trust of the people he served. So it's easy enough to surmise that the full amount of "crooked" cops, isn't actaully as big as most would like to make it out to be.
I believe you end up getting banned, because you can't go more than six words without either insulting someone, or making outright untrue statements about people that you don't even know.
Translation: the truth hurts
I lived in New York where it was commonplace to see obese cops leaning against their cars chomping doughnuts, hot dogs , burgers , also I’m sorry you don’t like the fact that 40% of American cops are overweight / obese ......those figures are from the police force 😳
I've only known two possibly overweight police officers in my lifetime. One retired with a practically standard career, and the other died in the line of duty when he shot in the back of the head.
Really? The one shot in the head was probably napping after a fill of doughnuts 🤣

Having mud on your license plate means you have to learn to drive or a blown light bulb 😳WTF ?
American police are surly bully boys where it’s accepted that drivers are targeted for revenue every time one crosses from one state to another
Overweight, does not actually mean that someone is actually obese. Those terms are used in broad variations as is, so I'm not surprised that you're sticking to them on such a basis. Namely because searching for that result on google comes back with more than one answer. Be it anywhere from 22% all the way up to 80% of the police force in the US.
-
Actually he was taking a statement when the criminal came back and shot him from behind, nearly killing the witness afterwards. Thanks anyway for revealing just how pathetic of an individual you are, to make lite of such a loss of life. I guess you're all too willing to cheer on the two children that were killed prior to that encounter as well?
Almost everyone in that instance was black, save for the witness. So I'm pretty sure you support that sort of thing.
-
If you drive the vehicle, it's your duty to make sure that it's fit to drive before taking off. We get that told to us at the DMV on day one.
If you can't be bothered to inspect the vehicle, then you're at least partially responsible for that ticket.
Overweight, does not actually mean that someone is actually obese.
Where did I state otherwise and of course overweight police men should be allowed to be overweight except when doing basic training right ?
Those terms are used in broad variations as is, so I'm not surprised that you're sticking to them on such a basis.
They’re from a police source maybe it’s a conspiracy theory ?
Namely because searching for that result on google comes back with more than one answer. Be it anywhere from 22% all the way up to 80% of the police force in the US.
Ahhhh right the police are now lying about a report they published ....got ya

Sorry I’m crying buckets now .....better ?
I guess you're all too willing to cheer on the two children that were killed prior to that encounter as well?
But if they’re dead my cheering won’t be effective will it? 😳
Almost everyone in that instance was black, save for the witness. So I'm pretty sure you support that sort of thing.
You’ve lost me buddy

Of course thankfully there are decent citizens like you and Amarel to ring the cops to tip them off about “criminals “ driving with mud spattered license plates or a blown light bulb
In the meantime call people like Chauvin a good guy doing his duty
If you can't be bothered to inspect the vehicle, then you're at least partially responsible for that ticket.
Take him away officer a very dangerous felon with a mud spattered license plate
Actually using your sort of reasoning an obese cop would be deemed a super fit prime example of best practice
Since you aren't good at reasoning, I'm not surprised you can't manage my "sort of reasoning", which is just reasoning. The best you can manage is your imaginary re-interpretation of reasoning to come up with ridiculous positions to project on your opponent, but which no one ever posited.
I'm sorry you don't understand BMI, but I'm not surprised. Your posts here have degenerated again. As expected.
To quit would be conceding defeat to the loony-leftist anarchists.
The leftist filth would seize the opportunity of a lawless state to open the flood gates even wider for them to achieve their burning ambition of creating the world's biggest free-for-all hangout of international criminals and low-life spongers.
A handful of trigger-happy ones might quit ... hopefully, but the majority of good, well-trained, conscientious cops will stay! They'd welcome getting rid of those who ruin their reputation! :-)
When those cops in Atlanta justifiably shot someone, they were immediately fired and then charged by local prosecutors. When that cop in Columbus saved a girls life, national media cried racism. All last year when cops did much of anything to stop rioters, they were called fascists. THOSE are the good ones. All the other good cops around the country see the way good cops are treated and are starting nto think it's not worth it. Of the madness continues, they'll be right.
Knit-picking doesn't help. For every shooting you can find SOME justification for, you can find several you have to "make up" justifications for. There are just too many trigger-happy cops around. They would rather shoot and take their chances .... very GOOD chances, that they will be O.K. with it. Problem is, the victim has NONE. I have a Deputy Sherriff and a Police Cheif - former detective in the family. I'm happy neither has been a "Quick-Draw McGraw"! They've been treated quite well.
Here's a knit-pick for ya, a 12 year old boy with an air-pellet gun shot within seconds of a warning to "drop it"! Trigger happy??
There isn't justification for every shooting. When there is none, it's murder, such as with Walter Scott. It's very rare that there is no justification, as you seem to concede.
Tell me if this is a knit-pick. Police respond for a report of a man with a gun in the park. When they arrive on scene, they observe a 195 lb 5ft 7in man with a gun. When they tell him to drop it, he points it at them. They shoot before he can. Are they justified?
That 195 lbs 5"7' man pointing a gun at them turned out to be a 12 year old with a pellet gun. You said they were justified. So I will ask your question back to you, were they justified, or trigger happy?
The 195lb man should know better. A 12 year old, 90lb boy deserves a bit more consideration. Police are supposed to be TRAINED PROFESSIONALS, not child assassins! Cops who are too afraid to assess a situation before blasting away are those we need to get rid of. They sign up for the risk when they take the job. A badge doesn't make you a "double 0"!
12 year old Tamir Rice was 195 lbs and 5 ft 7 at the time he was killed. The scenario I described to you, wherein you said the police were justified was exactly how Tamir Rice was killed. Instead of being a man, he was 12 and instead of pointing a real gun at the cops, he was pointing a pellet gun. Those facts could not be known to the police who responded to a call for a man threatening people with a gun who then pointed it at them.
You probably feel like a reasonable person. When you knew no more than what they knew at the time, you said they were justified.
If I were a cop in a relatively stable red state, yes. I would have no problem with the population at large and they would have no problem with me doing my job. As for someone being a police officer in one of the blue states, now that is another matter. Because I'd have no prospects of being protected by those rights allowed to me, as well as no insurance that the state wouldn't just throw me under the bus at the drop of a hat. This does account for instances where one would be punished for doing their job and nothing more.
Location would definitely make a huge difference. I don't know how cops in Minneapolis or Portland drag themselves to work every day knowing that if they have to defend their life, it will only be ruined as a result. Meanwhile in many other smaller cities, even in blue states there remains a basic recognition of police necessity.
I just saw that confidence in police has fallen to a 22 year low. I also saw what they didn't say in that report, but you can find if you're looking for it. That low confidence in cops is still ridiculously higher than confidence in congress and confidence in the media.
I don't know how cops in Minneapolis or Portland drag themselves to work every day knowing that if they have to defend their life,
Hello A:
I dunno either.. Are they BUMMED because they had to defend their lives, or are they THRILLED?? Personally, I think they LOVE it. That's WHY cops become cops, isn't it - for the ACTION?? They DON'T become cops so they can sit around eating donuts.
In fact, if I was a cop in a town with NO crime, I'd move to a town with LOTS of crime..
"if they have to defend their life, it will only be ruined as a result. "
Hello A:
As you'd expect, I take issue with that statement.
I think you're trying to say that even if a cop genuinely acts heroically in a given situation, the left will bring him down - presumably because they're "the left"..
Well, I'm the left, and I'm able to distinguish heroism from cowardice.. Cowardice is HIDING behind the blue wall of silence and allowing bad cops to remain on the force. Heroism is stepping OUT from behind that blue curtain, and EXPOSING the bad cops..
Yes.. HERO'S risk their lives. Is THAT what you had in mind when you spoke about the cops being worn down?? Looks to me like the RISK from their own ranks is a much bigger threat than "the left"
The officer who saved a black girl wearing pink from being stabbed by Makhia Bryant was immediately lambasted. His face and name tweeted by Lebron James for the next target of the mob. Police are presumed guilty before literally anything is known. If the officer involved happens to be white, the story stays in the news and the mob against them grows. That's not just the world for bad cops. That's the world for all cops.
The officer who saved a black girl wearing pink from being stabbed by Makhia Bryant was immediately lambasted.
Hello again, A:
It's good that he saved the girl in pink.. It's bad that he shot Makhia Bryant. She died needlessly. Cops carry tasers for this very reason. The cop SHOULD be lambasted..
When I was in the Navy, we went through maze where targets would jump out at you and you had to make a split second decision to shoot or not. Some of the targets were the bad guy, and some were innocents.. I think cops go through this too.. If you make the wrong decision, innocent people DIE.. If you're UNABLE to make the right decision, you should be drummed out of the force, and if you KILL some innocent person, you SHOULD be lambasted, sued, and generally taken to the cleaners..
It's good that he saved the girl in pink.. It's bad that he shot Makhia Bryant
Shooting Bryant was necessary to save pink.
Cops carry tasers for this very reason
Tasers have a 40il rate. Did you watch how fast that scenario unfolded?
If you make the wrong decision, innocent people DIE.. If you're UNABLE to make the right decision, you should be drummed out of the force, and if you KILL some innocent person, you SHOULD be lambasted, sued, and generally taken to the cleaners..
Bryant was in the process of attempting murder. She clearly stated her premeditation right before the attack. It's sad that a young person would make such a fatal error, but she was not innocent. Of her fatal error didn't lead to her death, it was likely to lead to Pink's death. The officer gave priority to the victim over the attacker. That is exactly as it should be and an innocent life was saved as a result. Your position on this issue precisely proves my point about what good cops face today.
The test you describe is not part of SEAL training. It's not part of Navy MP training. It's not part of mess hall training. If you had that training while in the Navy, it wasn't the Navy training you. That was Hogan's Alley Nintendo.
Police are presumed guilty before literally anything is known.
Oh shut up. You presume them innocent long after their guilt has been firmly established by the facts. You ignored two separate autopsy reports and testimony from a lung expert last week, and concluded arbitrarily that George Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose. You are such a sneering, delusional apologist for police brutality that it makes you nauseating to even engage.
You presume them innocent long after their guilt has been firmly established by the facts. You ignored two separate autopsy reports and testimony from a lung expert last week, and concluded arbitrarily that George Floyd died from a fentanyl overdose.
Hmmm. Seeing which city it happened in, the cop was a leftist. Ah yes. Another black man shot in the white liberals' paradise that everyone is fleeing from. Can't wait until these halfwitted toddlers run everything...
"if they have to defend their life, it will only be ruined as a result. "
Hello again, A:
No, I'm not done.
The original press release from the Minneapolis Police Department said "Man Dies After Medical Incident During Police Interaction,” the release claimed that Floyd had resisted arrest and then suffered “medical distress” after being cuffed.
You KNOW that to be a lie, do you not? Did any good cop LIE so that Chauvan could remain on the force?? Does that happen every day, day in and day out, in every police force in the nation??? It does.
And, if they DIDN'T lie, would their lives be in danger??
Yes.. Being a cop is DANGEROUS, but not from "the left", but from their own backside.
If there was at least a few people around that support cops, or if there were too many people protesting to defund the cops, I would stay. I believe the police force is important in America.
For the UK I'd quit because I'd be ordered to enforce crazy laws. It's unacceptable for police to make personal visits to "check their thinking", enforce hate speech laws, or enforce lockdowns; they violate fundamental human rights.
Within the context of America, if I was a cop in a state that wants to abolish the police, I'd also quit. Because reality will correct the morons asking for their abolishment. Show these morons what happens in a world without police since apparently they won't understand no matter how many lives they ruin, they need to be directly affected.
I dislike the existence of the police, but I firmly understand the need for their presence; the incentive to revert from civilised means to force is impossible to live with in a civilised society. And as crap as the reality of the situation may be, good police that uphold individual rights and equal law deserve particular respect. And they certainly don't get that today from the public.
A cop shoots a kid that was about to stab someone, literally saving someone's life, though killing the aggressor. And apparently he's a racist evil pig.
It's unacceptable for police to make personal visits to "check their thinking", enforce hate speech laws, or enforce lockdowns; they violate fundamental human rights.
Protecting your life from a dangerous pathogen is not a violation of your "fundamental human rights" you child.
"Newswise — Home Office data shows the number of police officers voluntarily resigning from the force in England and Wales has more than doubled in the last eight years"
American cops are leaving for obvious reasons. Why are Bobbies quitting?
I read an article that said American LE numbers are plummeting as a result of natural cycles of hiring and retiring. It said we shouldn't be concerned about all this talk of police leaving for lack of support, defunding efforts, increased hatred, increasing numbers of ambushes, riots, automatic blame, mob rule, etc etc.
The point is that articles can miss on the analysis.
Yeah. All the points in the article are typical reasons why people quit any job; personal issues, disliking their boss, seeking better opportunities, etc. It doesn't at all explain why there would be an increase in people leaving, generally or specifically to police, or why that would be happening now.
I would think it is obvious why they are recently leaving. The public narrative has completely turned against the police, they don't get the respect they used to. They're criminalised for doing their jobs. Their self-defence is being stripped from them bit by bit. State overreach is becoming more frequent. However these are all taboo to the racialised narrative; police cannot be allowed to become victims, else they do not fit into the prescribed oppressor role. Why would anyone want to be a policeman where they will be demonised for preventing crime? It's demoralising and infuriating.
Your position is that a cop should stay on the job because they will get rich?
Hello A:
I'd much rather deal with a cop who has his feet on the ground, than one who is doing, what he perceives to be, a moral good.
Lemme ask you this.. If you were cop who found a couple grand in cash on a suspect, and you had NO IDEA where it came from, and you had the legal authority to SEIZE it, would you?
A cop caught doing that would not only lose his job, but would lose his career in law enforcement. That's regardless of charges.
I knew a cop who hit a curb and it popped his squad car tire. He lied and said it must have gone flat for unknown reasons. But since it looked like a minor collision caused it, they checked the area where he went flat and found damage to the curb that matched damage to his rim.
He was first reprimanded for lying, which makes him worthless on the stand because any lawyer can immediately discredit him. Then he was fired, never to serve in law enforcement again.
My post addressed more than stealing. The cop I referenced lied about how his car got damaged. Bam, career in the tank. There is significant disincentive for a cop to even lie a little. And now we have an increasing number of cameras.
It's true. Cops, like anybody else, would STEAL and LIE if there weren't cameras all over the place.
For sure, we know that cops KILL black people, and lie about it, a lot more than anybody knew.. And, that's because there are cameras all over the place.
You DO know that the police report in George Floyd's death simply said that he had a medical incident and the paramedics were called..
Yes, Floyd did have a medical incident. Going by the video, witness testimony, and medical examination. He had more than a few underlying health issues, even before he was paid down on the pavement.
A cop caught doing that would not only lose his job, but would lose his career in law enforcement.
Good one, halfwit. Any person caught raping another would not only lose his job, but would also lose his freedom. Therefore rape doesn't happen. More faultless logic from our resident fruitcake. 😂👌
I can't take that as a sincere attempt at logic. The argument is that one should remain a cop because theft is so lucrative. My counter, that even little lies get a cop fired, is not to say it doesn't happen. But when the argument (that cop theft is lucrative) rest on nothing, presenting counter-incentives is relevant.
Incidentally, I didn't know you were also a rapist. Maybe your isolation is state mandated.
Retirements are early and recruitment is way down. Police ARE leaving. With fewer police in service, violent crime is up. Booming gun sales indicate an expectation that crime is expected to rise even higher and with no one to call.
This is the time for all true citizens to stick to their guns (literally) and stand firmly resolute against the political storm troopers of full-blown communism.
