Images reveal Iceland's glacier melt

A photography project has highlighted the extent of ice loss from Iceland's glaciers.

A team from Scotland and Iceland compared photographs taken in the 1980s with present-day drone images.

They focused on the south side of the Vatnajökull ice cap, which covers about 7,700sq km of land.

Dr Kieran Baxter, from the University of Dundee, said: "We saw a staggering difference in a very short amount of time."

Nonsense, leftist climate theory relies on the false assumption that correlation= causation.

That's absolutely hilariously stupid. The planet is about to die and we've found a correlation? Well heck, let's just ignore it so my buddies in the oil and gas junta can make a few more billion bucks. I mean, either I'm right and correlation = the opposite of causation, or everyone will be dead and it won't matter. Right buddy?

I believe that climate change is real and that man made carbon emissions is the primary reason. However, to argue that the OK glacier is shrinking is primarily because of cliamate change is morally wrong and deceptive. The reason the OK glacier is disappearing, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, "Ok is a lava shield volcano in west-central Iceland, to the west of Langjökull."

Did you notice that? The glacier is on top of an active volcano. That's the primary reason it is shrinking. That's the driving factor in this case. Further, that glacier is believed to not have been there just less than 500 years ago. It did not exist in the warm medieval period. It is a fairly recent glacier, so you would expect that it would shrink faster because it is not as thick as others. Global warming is real, but this glacier's size change is primarily due to lava flow, not CO2 in the atmosphere.

I think the complete opposite is true. I think your source is wrong and deceptive. Here is my evidence:-

Overall, we rate the American Thinker, Questionable based on extreme right wing bias, promotion of conspiracy theories/pseudoscience, use of poor sources and failed fact checks.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, American Thinker has published Anti-LGBT articles, as well as those by prominent white nationalist, Jared Taylor. Further, American Thinker routinely publishes conspiracy theories, such as those by Pamela Geller, who is also on the SPLC’s hate watch list due to anti-Islam positions: Report: Obama said ‘I Am a Muslim’, which has been debunked as a false claim. They have also promoted conspiracies about the Seth Rich Murder and they have published numerous articles that are not supportive of the consensus of science, such as this one: The Hoax of ‘Climate Change’
