Not all of a sudden. Many people have always been racist.
True, but I'm not talking about racism coming from Obama's opposition. I'm talking about the bullshit race-card that the Democrats like to throw around whenever someone doesn't agree with Obama.
No, we should form opinions without regard to his race.
The question was rhetorical.
Many people have wanted a single-payer system for years. We finally take a tiny step towards it, and -- wait, it's a black guy doing it -- shut down the government!
Yeah... and many people support it, but at the same time... many people don't. That doesn't mean that they changed their opinion because he's black. The Republicans have always opposed a single-payer system. If anything, they oppose it more due to the fact that he is a Democrat rather than because he's black. Polls show that the majority of Americans don't support Obamacare, yet the majority elected him... twice! So obviously race doesn't play a big factor in this.
I don't know. I think many black people support it because they like the idea, and many other black people support it because Obama is black (yeah, that's racist too).
I've had a conversation with about a handful of black non-Republicans regarding Obamacare. I haven't met a single one who supports it yet. Of course, that's just from my own personal experience though.
