Protecting US workers is without a doubt, the best option available. By protecting US workers, we are ensuring that wages will be properly assigned based on their work. The average income for a person in 2019 was $31,133. The said median necessary living wage across the entire US is $67,690. Therefore, the average income is less than half of what the necessary living wage is. US citizens are struggling to get by and it can be stopped by protecting US workers with option 2. This option will also ensure that the economy stays strong throughout generations to come. The main way to complete this task is by reducing outsourcing. Outsourcing kills our US economy by taking jobs that were once here and transferring them to a place of cheaper labor; jeopardizing the quality of the product and most importantly, hurting the men and women that keep the country going. The number of jobs lost to outsourcing in 2021 was around 300,000. The main way to prevent outsourcing is by raising trade barriers. As a result, US businesses will boost and so will the strength of the economy.

In my opinion, “Protecting US workers” is the best option to choose. If the United States protects the United States workers, meaning keep them paid, keep them healthy, and keep their jobs. Then we would have to worry much less about the population. Most people in the United States are either making under 30 thousand dollars a year or unemployed. In the United States there are 5.9 million people on average that are unemployed. 73 percent of all American citizens make under 50 thousand dollars a year. If we protected the United States workers, their jobs, and wages, we wouldn't see such results. That is why option 2 is the best option.

The United States should always put its values protecting human rights, environmental protection, and child labor laws before its money. Their values should be based on the protection of human rights; living wages, healthcare, and education that are established by rules, regulations, laws, and practices. Examples of these are child labor protection, women's rights, workplace conditions, and environmental protection of our resources with sustainability practices. In today's world, people do not realize that there are bigger problems in the international world than what issues we have in the United States. Larger problems in the International world consist of many poor practices of protecting their environment, the use of child labor, and violations of human rights. The United States should be the leader of the trade world in making certain that other countries who do not follow these rules be punished by using trade sanctions and embargo penalties. Due to the United States having a trade relationship with other countries, the United States has a great promotion of its regulation practices in support of international values. If trading with countries who do not see eye to eye with the United States policies protecting these values such as; human rights, environmental, and child labor, then there would be no changes that will establish a better world to live in.

Many people are not worried about how people are being treated. Instead, they are more anxious about how they are going to be able to pay their bills. If we pay more attention to values, no money will be made. Many people are striving to pay their bills in order to support their families. Trying trade policy for international issues will only weaken the U.S. economy.

Wouldn't you think that worrying about others and increasing tariffs would hurt our own economy greatly? Increasing tariffs like you proposed will bring inflation and a declining economy. This would obviously make even more US citizens struggle! PUT OUR OWN FIRST! We need to keep our focus on our own soil before worrying about someone in another part of the world! You have no evidence stating that even our biggest partner (China) still freely allows child labor. If you research China's labor laws, you see that they are not as bad as what you say they are. They, like the US allow for children to work at the age of 16, and prohibit any labor by anyone younger.

We need to worry about our current economic statues before we worry about other countries laws. If we were to attack or cut off these trades with the countries that reject to consider the well being of their communities, we would be in even worse shape than we are now economically. In 2019 , over 5.95 trillion dollars came from exports. America is the worlds largest trading nation and with that comes responsibilities. In life, if you take something you need to give something in return or there will be issues. If America were to cut off trade with China, Americas top trading partner, we would lose 67% of our GDP (gross domestic product). Trading with China also supports our American jobs as well.

Putting values first may help with protecting specific issues like human rights, but it hurts more than you think. Adding policies to international issues with the United States will severely weaken our economy as a whole and will negatively affect trade expansion. Concentrating on problems with other countries will also hurt our U.S. workers.

The United States shouldn’t be more worried about what’s in their pocket then the ones making the money in it. There’s more to life than wealth. Money is not everything. There is so many global concerns such as human rights violations, environmental degradation, and child labor. We need clean air to breathe and you can’t just throw money at the air and tell it to be clean, therefore money cannot fix everything. Humans need to be treated like humans not like animals who work to death and get treated badly just to bring home little to no money. Children should be outside playing, running, and having fun; not stuck in a factory working their life away. With the U.S. having trading relations with countries that don’t have the same values as us, we can place trading embargo's with them. If every country had the same values and ideas or even just agreed on them, we wouldn’t have war outbreaks, well not as many. We need to keep our world healthy and equal.

If the US is involved in other countries' issues they will not be able to work on theirs which will weaken the economy. This can lead to the loss of US jobs. If we spend all our time worried about helping others we won’t be able to help ourselves. This will affect our trade relations, jobs, money, etc. It can make our country vulnerable to richer countries. This is why we must make sure our economy is on top before we give other countries handouts.

If we keep everything the same and just encourage other countries to be better we might can create more jobs around the world. If we encourage environmental changes our world could be much healthier. Therefore, we could create jobs to contribute to bettering the environment worldwide and not just in the U.S. This is important because we breathe the air on this earth and we don't really realize what we're breathing in because it's so normal to us. Air pollution and environment degrading has gotten out of hand.

I believe that we should keep the US economy on top. After, the Second World War, the United States initiated the process of opening world markets and expanding trade. Through expanding the production of America's most competitive industries and exports, through exports, raises US incomes. By shifting the production to the most competitive areas of our economy then helps raise the the productivity of the average American worker and through the income they can earn. Through opening world markets, investment is encouraged in our expanding export sectors and the rising scale of product that is being produce helps lower the scale of production costs. This also helps the consumer choice and keeping prices low due to our imports giving more production power to the consumer. Imports also provide high quality inputs for American businesses which economically aid communities and US employees began to be highly competitive in foreign or domestic markets. With exports and imports comes trade. Roughly 3/4 of world purchasing power and over 95% of world consumers are outside Americas borders. Trading with these countries is technically the engine of growth for America. The long term role of expanding trade is that it will play a positive role in the current economic recovery.

The U.S. trade policy has only given out interests to the elite instead of the whole country. While millions of U.S. workers face the difficulties of keeping their families over fees and paychecks, this country has been making millions. The policy must strive to keep the U.S. workers off the laws of free trade. They should also establish jobs for them and their families. This will not work if the U.S. economy keeps shedding jobs and hurting the economy. The forces of economic globalization should not hurt or destroy the workers who created our economy.

Protect U.S. Workers

The economy needs to keep doing what they are doing so that they can get richer. They think it’s good that living standards are rising. The NAFTA and WTO had created the Pacific Rim trade agreement. The greater majority in the U.S benefits from the exposition of free trade. The well being of the U.S economy and how it's going to be the best. The leaders of the US promoting free trade is most important to keeping the US as an economic superpower. The U.S shouldn’t have any interactions with foreigners that mess up the trade interest. A lot of the U.S benefits from free trade. If the U.S keep on trading and having relationships with other countries they will end up getting richer and help the economy.

The economy already has much recognition as is , but as for basic human values are being overlooked because it is not adding importance to the human values of people but more to the United States and what there importances are.

Putting values first before any money is involved or money related situations. That can relate to the economy instead of human values. The benefits for the society are much bigger and more important than the ones of free trade or protection of U.S workers. The benefits are looking into child labor laws and finding way to decrease that issue one by one.. The United States trade should reflect United States values.(belief)The United States should insist that all trade agreements including NAFTA and WTO , provide safeguards that further the values of human rights, poverty reduction, and environmental safety.(policy)While economic interests are important , the United States can not separate those interests from concerns for justice, human rights, and democracy.Putting policy opinions into the international issues will hurt the US efforts to expand trade and weaken the economy.Promoting human rights help promote international stability and it’s vital to global security.

I think option 1 is the best option personally. This position focuses on keeping the U.S. economy on top and making sure it’s at best. U.S. Leaders feel that free trade will give all countries a stake in protecting world peace. Free trade is very beneficial to many Americans. And as the U.S. builds more relationships and trades with partners they get richer and the economy grows stronger.Like why not this option

Mane u throwed off you know America being on top uses poorer countries to build off and makes us look like a horrible country and seem like we are taking the easy way out. This helps our country but overseas they cause waste and harm the planet because of the rules we place.

I am disputing this argument because I do not feel that it has any objective in arguing about trade options. Additionally, there is no supporting evidence to your statement.
