Is Abortion murder

Abortion is clearly murder most of the time. If you are trying to save the mother, the mother is too young, or the mother doesn't want kids and was raped into pregnancy, I am open to say there are other things to consider. But most all of the abortions done in the United States are simply to kill the baby, which is murder. Some people use abortion to get a specific desired sex, which is also murder. Most of U.S. abortions fall under these 2 categories, which is murder.

Was killing Black people murder when it was legal to do so during slavery?

Pro abortion people will say abortion is not murder because it is legal. I wonder what they would have said when the Democrat Party supported slavery. If we once again legalized slavery today, would killing Black people be considered murder in Democrat eyes?

Democrats hate comparing the inhumanity of slavery to abortion because they want to even keep no restriction abortions of viable babies legal for any reason.

They refuse to admit their support of no restriction abortions when they vote for these new age extreme Liberal Democrat Party.

The same arguments used for keeping abortion legal today were used during the time of legalized slavery.

They put the convenience and the right's of the plantation owners over the lives of the slaves. Democrats today put the convenienve of the mother over the Baby's life.

No one is denying life of mother or other extreme case abortions, SO SPARE US ALL YOUR PATHETIC EXCUSES FOR SUPPORTING THE INHUMANITY OF NO RESTRICTION ABORTIONS.

Murder is not strictly a legal term, it is a moral term used to differentiate between just and unjust killing. Abortion is always killing a form of human life, so the topic can be restated as "Is abortion justified?" Given that there are numerous reasons that women choose to get abortions, each reason must be able to stand on its own. For example: a woman wants an abortion because having a child would be inconvenient (~90% of abortions) is not morally justifiable. However, when the pregnancy is a genuine threat to the mothers life (~0.5% of abortions) it would be acceptable.

I'd like to know what moral principles you are using to make those claims.

Most people hold murder as a moral term as well, considering it to be not only unlawful killing, but unjustified killing.

If we adhere strictly to the legal sense of the term we would have to conclude that genocide is most often not murder, as it is executed as a matter of governmental policy, thus it is lawful.

To avoid moral complications, which are sure to turn any argument nasty, I will be purely factual in my statement.

The official definition of murder is "the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another."

While abortion is premeditated, as long as it is done in an area where it is lawful, it isn't murder.

Side: no

Murder implies unjustified or unlawful killing. Abortion is both justified and legal. Its not murder.

Its killing life sure enough. But murder comes with legal connotations that just dont apply

A fetus is not a life until it can sustain itself outside the womb. Until that time its a parasite living off of a host body. Abortion is a religious issue not a government issue.
