When was it really ever the land of the free?

We're all enslaved to something. If not physically to man, economically to our wealth or lack there of.

Well said. I agree. .

No. Not when murders go unpunished. ,

All land is free. One must simply take the necessary precautions to maintain their freedom.

Was there ever a time when it was land of the free??? Name a point in time and I am sure some minority or another was being oppressed or segregated there xD

America was never absolutely free and I'm sure the person who coined that phrase understood that notion. I'm fairly positive that the term simply gives regards to the state of freedom present in America. Now again, this isn't absolute freedom, but freedom to do as one wishes as long as one's wishes do not infringe upon the the rights granted to other individuals.

Extradition orders to the USA from Europe are often denied on the grounds of your jails constituting torture. To go their on holiday you have to promise hundreds of things that are none of anyone else's business including: "do you plan on going to the USA to convince someone to get a vasectomy?". There are announcements in every airport in the world that flies to the USA saying that you have to be at the gate 1 hour before any other flight to any other destination for additional background checks. Guantanamo bay is still fully operational.

Need I go on? Of all the countries we consider developed, USA has the least freedom.

Torture? LOL! No... Capital Punishment is why... not "torture." and if you're so concerned about torture then why don't I EVER see you saying anything against North Korea or China or Iran?

Hahahah! Are you just making this shit up as you go? Or do you actually believe the complete bullshit you're typing?

Good! And?

Guantanamo bay is still fully operational.

Yeah, you're going to need to because so far you're so full of bullshit that you're eyes must be brown.

It seems you right. People have brought claims that the supermax prisons are a form of torture before the human rights court but none have been successful. Capital punishment in itself is torture. You deliberately chose a painful method of execution. I could use nitrogen asphyxiation but you want them going down with a grimace rather than a smile in their face.

if you're so concerned about torture then why don't I EVER see you saying anything against North Korea or China or Iran?

I have an issue with the USA playing such a huge part in global affairs and being regarding as a moral nation. Everyone generally recognises the problems with the countries you listed.

A friend of mine applied or a visa to go to the US this summer. This was one of the questions. We were all laughing about it.

America's "poor" live like kings compared to most other countries.
