No, because they can just buy two smaller sodas. If the government is going to start policing everything we eat and drink it's just going to get out of control. I guess I better start stock piling Cheetos, because those might be banned next.

Is banning large bags of candy smart? Is banning large orders of fries smart? Is banning cases of beer smart? No.

Can you please give a reason? If not, i will then have to down vote you. And this should go to everybody who do not give a valuable reason.

If you ban large bags of candy, large fries and large cases of beer, all you have to do is buy more of the small ones to get the same amount. Its also not the best idea to be nannying grown adults on something like soda.

Side: Yes and why

Common sense suggests that it is unwise to nanny adults. The banning of large sodas was really just a bureaucrats dream and business nightmare.

Side: No and why

Banning anything that was formerly legal is a bad idea. As seen with the prohibition of alcohol. People are odd in a way that when told they can't have something, whether or not they wanted it in the first place, they then desire it, and become offended in not being allowed to.

Plus businesses only do what the people want them to. So banning the businesses from making the larger drinks will cause them to lose out on the chance to make as much money as they can while still following the law. As the american way and socialism dictate you should.

Side: No and why

If you ban large sodas and candy then what stops people from buying more of the smaller varieties?

Take McDonalsds for instance, if they had to get rid of their large sodas then i would sipmply get a Medium and take advantage of the free refills.
