Is Calling a Woman the C Word as Bad as Calling a Black Person the N Word?
A lot of people take offense to being called different words. An offensive word to call women is the C word, and the N word is offensive to black people. But, is it worse to use one or the other?

Cunt. It's slang for a female genitalia, insinuating by it's use that the victim is no more that a vagina. But slang has to originate from something, so where does that come from? The word cunt is believed by geologists to date back to cuneiform the very 1st recorded language, due to it's similarities to the word kunta which also meant, female genitalia. It is also spelled quna in cuneiform which is the root for the word queen. Thus technically making the word a compliment, made to be no more than an insult. Also the word has less negative history for women publicly. My source: http://www.vdaysouthbay.org/ Nigger, or nigga as it is used in slang, derives from the word negro used by slave owners to verbally insult their 'property'.Meaning the public use of the word has a pretty substantial history. It also derives from the word negro in Spanish meaning black object. These are just the more recent examples of it's use. Other uses dating back even further show it to not be negative at all, rather to be either neutral or positive. Such as naga black serpent. Naga-raj King of cobras other examples using naga. All of the facts I spouted from my ignorant word hole mean nothing. We are all human and these words that we fight to ban because of their history and that we use to define our selves negatively truly mean nothing. Words are not physical, you can call a deaf person every name in your little black book of insults, and they won't be any more moved than they were by waking up that day. What we should be doing is uniting in the positive words we have that make us all the same. People, humans, men, women. All of what I said proves that words only mean what you make them mean. Let's make everybody, someone. Side: No way!

The C word equals female genitalia. The N word originated as a derogatory term for black people. So when you call a woman the C word that is just saying that she is no more than a vagina! While the N word just reminds black people slavery. I should also bring up that context is key the N word can be used in a slang context and when it is used in a slang context it usually does not offend black people, however the C word does not get a slang context so it usually offends women 100% of the time it is used! Again it depends on the context. The debate presupposes calling black people niggers is bad. Don't get me wrong, it usually is... if you're being racist, but CONTEXT is key. Now just saying nigger stand alone isn't racist. Me writing nigger or cunt in this argument isn't innately sexist or racist, but someone could take offence nonetheless. Like Penn Jillette said, you have the right to be offended, and the right NOT to be offended. So, in conclusion, if you are being sexist, cunt is the word you'd equate with nigger when being equally racist, yes. The Right Not to be Offended

The 'n' word stems from negro, meaning black- etymologically (made up word here?) speaking, it is not offensive- but people take offence at being called 'ginger', 'girly', 'bastard', 'gay'... which are also not offensive by the meaning of the word in modern, developed society. The 'c' word is seen as itemising a woman, same as calling a man a 'dick'. It is a metaphorical insult, saying they have the qualities of said item. Therefore, it is worse. Side: Yes, just as bad
The N word derives from Niger in Africa, where some black people come from. Slaves were literally considered items. The N word was only used to itemize black people. Maybe if you were black you would have a different take on it, but you are a woman and you see that one as more offensive, interesting. Side: No way!
