Yes. Chess depicts real life strategies for wars and even politics. The origin of this game itself hints how much it's related to real life situations.

In short: the common is sacrificed for the one!

Side: Yes.

On a very simple level yes because it involves two factions trying to wipe each other out with a distinct leader who you need to protect at all costs.

In real politics the underlings want to betray their superiors to get to that rank. There is no such thing as unconditional loyalty or suiciding to preserve the leader. This isn't dumb war, this is real politics where everyone i manipulating others.

Calm down dear I edited it.

Side: Yes.

Its similar to war in the way you trick your enemy, try not to get greedy and go for the most powerful enemies.

Most certainty so. It teaches the basics of war strategy as it shows how each move is essential to winning. In both war and chess you must think about every outcome that can happen when you make a move. You must think about what could happen in the near future and the effects that can happen of each move in the late game. Chess is about predicting your opponents moves and thinking like they think, it teaches you to be patient, careful, the value of your pieces and the ability to understand the pros and cons of risk, all qualities that are required of commanders. Being in charge in war is about being able to weigh your options and make decisions in a timely manner that work to achieve victory and chess teaches this as well as it demands it.

Most wars aren't fought with nuclear bombs. Think of collonial wara or something. Placement of troops and where to post up and attack was crucial. Now technology does that stuff for us. We still use strategic placement to successfully complete mission.

If it were up to me, they would be ;)

It does not incorporate social manipulation or any dimension of relations between enemies causing them to betray their former allies. The 'whites' remain white and do not ever overthrow the white king to join the black one and vice versa.
