There is a place where this has happened before and that is Nazi Germany. As the Nazis rose to and consolidated power, Germany was flooded with the exact same type of trashy political propaganda masqueraded as real news. It is potentially an even greater threat to the world this time, because the country it is happening in is the world's only superpower. Moreover, the resurrection of this cruel ideology under the guise of something new and exciting (i.e. "alt-right", "anti-feminist", "anti-SJW" etc...) is being politically backed by Russia, perhaps the second most militarily powerful country in the world after the United States itself. There is also the giant leap in technology to consider, with social media platforms now being abused to wildly proliferate disinformation in seconds. In short, either there is eventually going to be another big war, or someone is going to find enough evidence on these guys to get rid of them. Even then, I believe it is too late to purge them from the system completely, because people like this represent so well the interests of the lobbyists and the large corporations. Side: Yes

It's looking SOOO much like 30's Germany ... modernized ... and another group of intelligent people (that feel sorry for themselves), is being brainwashed by a group of white nationalists, with their own idea of a "nation" that doesn't resemble a free, democratic one. I'm thinking fake news hit it's peak just before Trump got elected. He is an absolute miracle when you see his winning the election with almost all the main stream media trashing him? Amazing! This proves that there are millions of American's whose voices were never heard, and never polled! Fake news will only last as long as people watch it. Fox news always wins the rating wars for cable news because the majority of Americans are Conservative to moderate. Fake news would have you believe that Liberals are the majority. Trump proved they are not. Who would have thought Trump would ever come along. Out of nowhere a man comes to the Presidency without big money backing. The Democrat Party and establishment Republicans were against him. The media hated him. Who would have believed a man could stand up against fake news, and win? He is truly a breath of fresh air. He is not a career politician trained in lying to the people. He talks off the cuff not worryng if he makes gaffes. He does not care about his political future. He only cares for America and all it's people. As our economy keeps growing, people will see the truth rather than the lies of main stream Liberal media. Yes, I worked my entire life, starting one week after graduating from high shchool, to retirement. Never once asking for free stuff from tax payers. I went without expensive cell phones, expensive cars, expensive vacations, expensive dinners out, expensive alcohol, etc. etc. and actually saved money on one income for those rainy days. I was once laid off and lost my health insurance with one of our pregnancies, and was able to use my savings to pay for the birth. Today, people would run down to medicaid programs so fast it would make your head spin. There is a welfare entitlement mentality today thanks to the Democrat Party instilling this mindset. People today would never want to gvie up their fun in life, cell phones, etc. and actually save money for a rainy day. There are millions of people living from paycheck to paycheck (if they even work) and too many people expect Government to support them if anything goes wrong. Side: Yes
