Is God Dead?
I fade from the light
Faith of my father, my brother, my Maker and Savior
Help me make it through the night
Blood on my conscious (conscience?)
And murder in mind
Out of the gloom I rise up from my tomb into impending doom
Now my body is my shrine
The rain turns red
Give me the wine
You keep the bread
Is God alive or is God dead?
Is God dead?
Dead, or Never Alive.

Technically a God has to be immortal. If it wasn't, if instead it just was really powerful and lived a really long time but then kicked off, it would just be way better than we are - but not a God. It's like claiming humans are Gods when compared to mayflies. We know more and do more and live far longer than the flies, but we're still not Gods. Alternative to the God is dead thread would be the God is away idea. That it has so much to manage it only gets to us once in a long while. And the flaw with that is if God is truly omnipotent and was capable of making every speck of every universe all throughout space then it would have no problem keeping up with us. Ultimately, what we're left with is either a perfect omnipotent immortal being knows and does everything, or, there really never was such a being - at least not in the way our religions teach of it. Side: Dead, or Never Alive.

"God is alive" means He is, unlike you, not dying. One of the actions He takes which everybody can see is that He executes punishment against sin. Thus saith the LORD, "The soul that sinneth shall surely die". Long after your time in this world is over, God remains as He has always been before you existed, God. Challenging Him is the game of fools. Side: Dead, or Never Alive.
