The devil? I see the devil every day living in this sick new age Democrat party of NO RESTRICTION abortion. There can be no more evil than purposely tearing a viable baby limb from limb a few weeks from traveling down the birth canal. The Devil is alive and well living within the hearts of the Godless. Dude! of course he is the bad guy. He thought that he was better than the most righteous and sinless thing in the world! And why would he cause people to murder each other and for selfishness and lies to run wild if he was really the good guy? He is clearly the bad guy to humanity. Side: Yes

Define "bad guy". To the world, which is evil and corrupt, No, he's not "the bad guy". He actually is the great unifier of those enslaved to sin who choose to have no redeemer or hope of salvation, nor eternal life. God is the great divider, who divides the wheat from the tares and the sheep from the goats. He has a holy standard. With Satan, all things go, but in the end, after the fake smiles, handshakes, and niceities, Satan stabs his followers in the back, doesn't love them, and leads them intentionally to their destruction out of hate for all other living beings. He is disguised in light, tastes like sugar, and is pleasant to the eye. He is like candy, like ice cream, like a snickers bar. But in the end you gain weight, get sick, and become diabetic. Satan's plan is never for your benefit, and is always for your destruction. Why? He wants revenge. For what? Being born. He has a great big hole inside of himself, and no amount of killing, lying, and destroying will ever be enough to fill it. Side: Yes

I been saying it for years Satan is a choir boy compared to the embodiment of evil as in the Christian god who takes part in and commands infanticide , abortion , pestillence , droughts and plagues all because he is pissed that people are not kissing his butt 24 /7 Satan killed Jobs family because god goaded him into doing it , satans total ... 10 deaths ..... gods total 2 and a half million and that's the low estimate . Christians applaud and see this as right and proper making them morally bankrupt and poor old Satan his only crime was to question god the mafia boss Side: No

Already argued this in another debate so if you've already seen this, oops: The argument that God is the evil one usually still goes based on a system of right and wrong, and merely places God as the evil one instead of Satan. However the argument used (God killed millions of people) to prove this misunderstands the context of the proof texts. For example, criticts point out that God commanded the genocide of millions "just because they were in the promised land". However, if you start to look at the context of the events, it starts to make a little bit more sense. In Genesis when God was talking with Abraham, God promised the land to Abraham (Genesis 15:18) but couldn’t give it to him yet because the iniquity of the current occupants “wasn’t full” (Genesis 15:16). God wasn’t just going to kick out a nation because his people were special. In fact, God specifically said the Hebrews weren’t special (Deuteronomy 7:7). At all. God was using the Hebrews as a form of judgement, just as God would use other nations to judge Israel later. But just how bad were these people, really? Well in the book of Judges it shows us a glimpse of what these people were like. In Judges chapter 19, it tells the story of a man that walked into a town of Benjamites. An old man sees the stranger and quickly tells him to get out of the street. Some time later, the men of the street surround the house and demand that the old man release the stranger. Fearing for his life, the old man shoves his concubine out the door instead. The men rape her continously until she collapses and dies in the morning. This is the kind of behavior that was taking place in the Promised Land before the Hebrews claimed the land. The Benjamites did what they did because they were influenced by the previous inhabitants, who were the group of people that God told the Hebrews to wipe out. This rape wasn’t an isolated incident in the surrounding area, this was a regular occurrence that was a cultural norm that took place before the Israelites conquered the land, and the Benjamites were judged just as the previous inhabitants were. This incident also gives us some incite into how people were when God decided to flood the whole Earth. People weren’t just a little mean or a little selfish, the entire world was filled with murder, rape, and absolute selfishness and hate. Or as the Bible puts it “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” God wasn’t being unjust, bloodthirsty, or homicidal. God let mankind continue until God had no choice but to judge the people except for a select few who wanted to follow Him. Even God’s commandments of violence were out of justice and love. Side: Yes

Aaaah... that was a beautiful strawman. But as always, the atheists leave out the "why". "Why" did God do or allow? If He had done nothing, then the Atheists would come after Him doing nothing. It's a logical fallacy. God destroyed the worshippers of Baal, thus he is evil. But if he hadn't destroyed them, the Atheists would say "why didn't He destroy the Baal worshippers who were cooking babies alive in sacrifices to the devil?" Atheists don't seem to grasp the concept of omniscience, of knowing the end justifies the means. Instead they rebel, dependent only on the carnal, which leadeth to destruction and death. Side: Yes

Most "bad guys" are those that believe there IS a Satan. There has to be a GOD before you can have a Satan as HE (allegedly), created Satan. WHY would one "create" a bad guy?? Wouldn't that mean you WANTED evil to exist? Just another example of what Thomas Paine was talking about when he said: "Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is no more derogatory to the almighty, more edifying to man, more repugnant to reason and more contradictory to itself than this thing called Christianity." The "bad guy" is the one who "created" evil, not the one who is reputed to BE it. Side: No

You must have never read the Quran or listened to an atheist church sermon. Nevertheless, the atheist failure to grasp the concept of the ends justifying the means is on? Atheism. If you are not a murderer, then you have a child and they do murder, you are not the "author of murder". You are the murderer's father. This really isn't that hard of logic. I'm disappointed with the Atheists on this site. I expected more. Side: Yes
Satan killed way fewer people then that bloody wanker Yahweh in the Bible. I fact I'm not sure my mate Lucifer really killed anybody in the Bible. And he and Jesus were mates! The way they were talking together and going on and prolly drinking a pint during the days in the desert. Satan is a fan of man! Pacino said so in that brilliant movie. Satan's been down in the bloody trenches with us all this time while Yahweh, petty and murderous, sits up there on his father arse and has a wank. I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints. The sinners are much more fun. Same deal with ol' Lucy. Cheers. Side: No
