The problem with the ones made out of bars is they take only seconds to climb, so they are a complete waste of money. Border walls seem futile because they are just too easy to get over or under. I wonder if it would be cheaper to just set up cameras every few hundred yards along the border. Then use software that monitors the cameras for movement. If any is found, it notifies border patrol, so they can take a closer look. Side: Yes

True. The plans Trump and his team have discussed publically include lots of tech like that: cameras, motion sensors, etc.. If solar panels are mounted on wide platforms on top of the bars, then they could be used both to make the wall harder to cross, and they could power the technical solutions. Side: Yes
