Trump's aggressive posturing, which is a classic display of the old adage, 'attack is the best form of defense', is no more that an attempt to unnerve the authorities and make them think twice about arresting and indicting him on charges of his alleged hush-money payment to the porn star Ms., Daniels. Whilst I don't think there will be any ''stand-off'' we can be sure that Trump will fight the indictment at every stage of its progress. Personal opinions on Trump's style of presidency or political ideologies is irrelevant tittle-tattle within the context of the pending litigation of this sordid matter. If this indictment proceeds it will be a high profile, politically motivated show trial aimed at the character assassination of Trump and will have nothing whatsoever to do with striving for justice. Trump admitted to reimbursing his attorney for the hush money payment quite some time ago, so why wait until now to take this unprecedented step?
