It really depends on the situation. If you are going to argue with someone for ten minutes and get no where as a result, then what is the point of continuing? You said your arguement once, so where is the need to say it twice? You are just wasting your breath. In other situations, it does represent weakness. Like a husband who walks away from his wife and she confronts him of his infidelity. It could be possilbe that the man could be tired and want to talk about it in the morning????
