because

a) you join a club because you enjoy the activity and make new friends that you wouldn't always mix with

b) by making new friends you widen your horizons and have a broader type of life experiences to draw upon later in life

c) who really cares if people think they're popular - only those who have nothing better to think about!!

Nope, I am not a geek, I am a nerd fighter and it isn't just for geeks it just appeals to the more...let me say...musical and people who don't really care what people think about them (Which usually means people who are seen as geeks and nerds un fortunately

Depends on your definition of nerd, Dictionary definition (apparently):

1.a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person.

2. an intelligent but single-minded person obsessed with a nonsocial hobby or pursuit: a computer nerd.

Geek is:

1.a computer expert or enthusiast (a term of pride as self-reference, but often considered offensive when used by outsiders.)

2. a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual.

3. a carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken.

So it depends on your definition. My definition is a rather clever person who is intelligent but is interested in school as wellas other subjects.

What kind of stupid debate is this. there are many kinds of folk clubs but this may be the stupidest debate on the website
