Is it more logical to be agnostic than atheist?
In my honest opinion. I would think so.

They are not mutually exclusive. Gnostic/agnostic is a philosophical spectrum concerning knowledge. The theist/atheist spectrum concerns belief. Atheism is not universally the belief that "God does not exist". It is, in its most basic sense, a lack of belief in God. As far as knowledge goes, definitive proof of God's existence or non-existence has not been obtained, so it is more logical to be agnostic than gnostic. Because God's existence has not been verified. it is more logical to be atheistic than theistic. Therefore, agnostic atheism the most logical of the four basic stances provided by this (admittedly simplified) metric. Side: Yes

Basically put, this is the Atheists' stance, "I've never seen it before, therefore it can't be real." While that very well may be some atheist's reason for disbelief it is in no way the stance all atheists take. Most atheists dont say with certainty that god doesnt exist. Most atheists are in fact both agnostic and atheists. Summed up i would say 90% of all atheists, myself included, hold this stance: "i dont know if a god/deity exists but i dont think one does" Side: No

Just because Jesus existed doesn't mean that he was the son of God, let alone that God exists at all. Also the evidence could have been faked by Rome. And just because of lots of people believe something doesn't mean you should believe it. There was a time when many people thought that the World was flat. Side: No
