You have a right to self-defense regardless of where the danger is coming from. I wouldn't want to hit a woman, but if she gave me no choice, I would do what is necessary to neutralize the threat.

I think that you should be able to hit anyone in self defense seeing as someone is intent on doing you harm you dont think about if they are a man or woman. you think, Oh this person is trying to hurt me. and unless you want to get hurt then you do what you gotta do to ensure you safety. Well lets say the women is a well known criminal and she has pointed a gun on your head. Now tell me if you will hit her or not for your self defense or not??.

Why not? If you say that you can't you are being sexist. It's just like asking if it is ok to hit a man in self-defense. Think about it this way, if Ronda Rousey started attacking you, would you hit her.

Of course, research has shown women are as aggressive as men. In some countries women even provide 75% of home violence (mental and physical,throwing things,threatening, attacking with knives, manipulating through children, economical violence, murder etc) . so there is no excuse for not stopping an aggressive woman or man.

Of course, The entire "woman are weak" thing is stupid. I have seen women knock a guy unconscious before.
