Would a better solution not be to assign unvaxxed Officers to duties which do not involve dealing with the public, such as clerical functions within the controlled environment of an office? This would free-up other, hitherto desk-bound Officers who have the necessary training to be tasked to attend to beat or patrol duties. Side: They should be vaxxed, BUT....

Everyone, including Police Officers, employed by the government should be required to be vaccinated against covid-19 or face the dire consequences of being summarily dismissed. It would be unacceptable for Police to be exempt from this must-have condition for other government employees. ''What's good for the goose is good for the gander''. Side: They're down in Nos already.

The overwhelming majority of the world's virologists and medical scientists strongly recommend that everyone, with the exception of those with an underlying medical condition preventing them from safely doing so, should have the vaccine. Apart from the unvaxxed police officers presenting a risk of infecting those members of the public with whom they come into contact, it also illustrates that they are dim-witted, thoughtless morons and as such should be relieved of theirduties due to their abnormality of mind.
