Is it socially acceptable to add 'MBA' after your name in your email signature?
For anyone at the workplace, you are well aware of the fact that a suffix (or credential) extends far beyond the typical "MD" or "PhD". The use of "MBA", "PMP", and a host of other industry specific abbreviations are starting to popup after people's names more frequently than they had in the past.
Is it socially acceptable to add these 'lesser' credentials?

Only if you've earned it (obviously). If you've earned the degree or certification then it's a matter of personal choice regarding when and where you use it. Personally I have earned a full alphabet soup. Some suffixes have criteria set by the issuing bodies. I follow the criteria and I use some of the suffixes whenever I see fit. I do not use them all every time that I send an e-mail. However, I do pre-print the relevant ones on my business cards. I also do not use the suffixes on personal e-mails to my friends.
