Hate is a very strong word. It could hurt that family members feelings if he/she figured out.

I do not think you are understanding the meaning for hatred. Hatred can appear in any quantity.

Yes, but does it make it wrong to hate them even if they killed everyone else in your family?

If Dad killed Mom, would it be more wrong to hate him, or hurt his feelings I mean.

Side: No

I understand. I wouldn't hold anything against him if justice comes into it. I would however not trust him anymore and highly dislike him.

You sorta have to. You don't hate people without a reason unless you are being ridiculous. If they are doing something horrible, make it clear to them what is making you dislike them, otherwise, they will never know.

Well for me hate is far too powerful of a word so I prefer to use the word "dislike".

Well it really depends if you hate your family member for a silly reason than not only is it wrong but also stupid. But if a family member harmed you in a serious way than it is a different story.

Side: Yes

Well, I understand that you can dislike and feel very annoyed at your family, but if they were not there, how would you feel? would you feel the same? yes, sometimes they can annoy you and you feel like that you hate them, but the truth deep down in you is that you really do love them, although you may not be aware of it.

Side: Yes

It depends on the reason for hate. If they didnt do anything to you then yes it may be wrong but if they have done something of great measure to you then you can "hate" if you want to.

Side: No

What if was like somebody close to you like a mother, father, brother, or even a sister?

Side: No

Same thing still applies. I know people who hate their siblings and parents.

Side: No

I fucking hate all my family. But I hate myself the most. I'm the fucking shame of my family. Fuck...

Side: No

Wrong by who's standards? If it's okay to hate anyone, it's perfectly fine to hate a family member.

Side: No

Hate is a part of you. You cannot deny yourself.

I use to have a deep hatred towards my mom, but now I tolerate her. Let's just say if I could choose between saving her and letting her die, I would let her die.

Side: No

I find no reason for why it is wrong to hate a family member. Hate comes from wrong doing of a certain degree, Its normal for us as humans to experience hatred for others, even if they so happen to be apart of our "family". Nothing about that is wrong. Yes, it can be slightly sad to see family members hate each other, because as a "family", we are supposed to be bonded and love each other no matter what, but in reality that's just not always how it goes.

Side: No

To say that you cannot hate someone of your own blood is just plain BS. Blood ties should have nothing to do with how you judge a person.

No. Even if they are family, they can still be an asshole. How they are related to you doesn't make their personality any different.

It depends on the severity of your hate. If you're an ingrate and don't appreciate anything your PARENTS do, then you're not hating them. It depends on the kind of hate you're feeling towards them: enmity or as such.

Hate is a basic human emotion. It is not wrong to feel or experience it. What matters is what you do with that hatred and whether you work to resolve it (if for no other reason than your own personal well-being).
