Technically speaking, the definition of murder is to kill another person. A person by definition is a human being. Scientifically, a human is a mammal. Mammals are a classification of a type of animal. Essentially humans are animals. Murder is killing a human, which is an animal, so yes killing a animal is murder. HOWEVER, only if the animal which is killed is a human being. However, killing an animal is still immoral. The only answer seen as justified by society is "survival".

Okay, obviously humans are animals. Then are you asking "Is (human as an animal) killing an animal (human as an animal) murder?

Then in America and other places, obviously it is considered murder..

Wait, what question are you referring to again? lol this is a joke.

I think killing animal is murder .Animals have also rights to live as human being. If there were no any animals there were no human. We have strong dependence from animals. The milk we drink, the meat we eat,the wool we wear are all from animals,so we have to protect them not kill, because they are very necessary for us.

Side: Yes

Strictly speaking, yes. There is literally no question about it; it's a living, conscious (I highlighted that purely because I don't want some pro-life wanks calling me a hypocrite) being and you're taking away its life.

I could go into other aspects that make it more acceptable than killing a human, but that's not the point of the debate.

Yes, in a logical sense, humans beings are animals. If you kill an animal(human being) well, it's murder. Right?

Is killing a human murder? There ya go!

Why should animals be any different? Are they inferior than us? Are they not worth being regarded as important? Are they worthless fluffy things that can simply be disposed of when you don't like them? You think they are toys? They have evolved down a different path but they do feel just like us, the only difference is they cannot express it like we can. They are not things, they are alive just as we are.

Downvotes? Really? You are that stupid? How about telling why you downvoted?

Or I simply said the truth and you got all butthurt and DVd from childishness and stupidity? I've had that before... and I guess this counts as 3 more.

Anyway, good luck being idiots.

Side: Yes

The day they put a bear on trial for killing a human will be the day I consider killing an animal murder ;)

Murder: The unlawful killing of another human

As we can tell, cows are not humans.

Technically speaking, humans are mammals. Mammals are a classification of animals. Essentially humans are animals, so killing a animal is murder only if that animal is a human. You are correct, however, your definition of Murder still supports the fact that killing an animal ( however it must be a specific animal) is still murder.

Side: Yes

it's not the unlawful killing of another human being.

I think that killing an animal is not murder because everyone in life kills animals, even if it's just small creatures like mosquitoes. Also, most people eat meat. Therefore, we have to kill animals. But we are not murderers. Moreover, murder is a human concept. We did not create it to be used lightly, for when we squash a bug or hit a rabbit with our car. We use it in legislation to refer to deliberate homicide because it is a loaded term for human-human killing.

D00ds, enough with this question.

It's obviously not murder to kill an animal. Murder is defined by humans for human to human contact, not human to animal contact.

Get over it people.

Murder, both the noun and the verb, refer to unlawfully killing another human being.
