Look at all the scientists who discovered all that we know today and opened our minds to how the world works, and created cures for diseases, and the doctors who saved thousands of lives, etc. Do you think all this stuff would of been possible if no one learned?

And is this debate really necessary?

Learning is necessary - really, learning occurs naturally; you learn from the experiences throughout your life. Essentially, life is all about learning.

You must learn. This is the way our brains are programmed. If no one was learning, then no one would know anything.

Yes because if we don't learn then we wouldn't have some of the greatest inventions. A lot of people made inventions because they learned how to do something. The world would be a worse place if nobody learned anything.

Is learning really necessary?........ of course?!!!???! Not only would I argue its necessary for succeeding, survival, etc but I would also argue it is necessary to that of what constitutes life and is most inescapable for creatures. Wether you are consciously learning from experiences or unconsciously learning through the process of being, simply being human determines that you will learn in one way or another.

Exhibit A : Only the school haters, learning illiterates etc. etc. etc. would come up with that kind of question (I would not even call that a question. It has no "?" for God's sake!).

Exhibit B : People who hates to learn usually have genius avatars.

Exhibit C : People who are friendly, nice, etc. etc. etc. usually don't like learning, am I right?

Learning expands the mind. From the day we come out of the womb, we learn. The human race constnatly picks up on new information, processes it, and utilizes it to the best of the ability of the beholder. Without it, our minds would be carbon copies of each other and we wouldn't have skills to progress and grow as a race. Not only is it necessary, but it is impossible to avoid it.
