On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would you rate dirt biking? If you ask the facts it would probably be higher than you're rating. Dirt biking is proven to be the hardest sport out there. You have to have immense strength. Depict constantly squatting while going up to 52 mph while shifting gears to go faster or slower, going twenty feet in the air and watching out for other dirt bikers for 30 minutes straight. That is what you do when you race a dirt bike. Dirt bikes are approx. 200 pounds. An article I read states,”Studies of motocross riders in past years have compared dirt bike riders to athletes from demanding sports such as NFL football, professional basketball, track and soccer with results showing that riders, overall, were at a higher level of physical fitness.” From personal experience I can tell you dirt biking is one of the most physical demanding sports. Dirt bike riders are the toughest also. I know what you’re thinking. Oh but this guy played football and broke his arm and leg. Well, meet Cole Seely , he broke his ribs. They completely shattered. He kept riding for 90 min. He got first place .This shows the determination of these riders. Some people say well then he is an idiot. But he is just one of the few riders that show this level of determination. These athletes are by far the toughest athletes ever. Although people think but it powers itself. It does. But you control the power, turning, gears, jumping… You control it with your physical body. It takes so much of your energy it’s ridiculous. For training they do the hard sports like biking 10 miles a day, running marathons, swimming… If you think they just do all that for nothing your wrong. You have to be in top shape. Its not even in the top ten. Maybe not even the top fifteen or so. I'm not sure I'd even call MX racers athletes. Most physically demanding sports.....no particular order... Ice hockey Rugby Rock climbing..mountain climbing Marathon running Gymnastics Ballet MMA fighting Boxing Full contact martial arts Ocean swimming Drag racing...the G forces!
