Is the Human Race on an Upswing or Downswing?
By upswing, I mean "are we doing okay in intellectual things" and by downswing,"we are destroying the good that the unierse is.
To be more clear, should we have faith in humanity to do well at intelligent things, make rational desicions, make the world and unierse a better place for future species?
So your job is to convince me that humans are trustable. (I am talking about this generation on only, and excluding actual smart scientists like Carl Sagan, Jacque Fresco, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Lawrence Krauss, Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, people like that. They've done all they can, so if we fail now, we are the only ones we have to blame. To be honest, I just felt like listing their names. Alright, GO!)

we are on the verge of technologically becoming a great species, but shit like crack cocaine and memes is putting us on a down swing. Think about the mob of people who beat that guy who hit a kid that ran out in front of traffic. He didnt do it on purpose and the people beat robbed and left him. Yeah that doesnt say alot of good things for humanity 1

It is not drugs that does the real damage. It is societies views of it that is hurting us. THink about it. If we lived in a world that allowed crack and Jerry goes and buys crack, smokes it and dies. One person is dead. We live in a world that doesn't allow it so more of the crimnal element have a much tighter hold on it. Now Jerry goes out and buys crack, but because it is illegal, he is a criminal. So he sells his daughter. She gets raped and Jerrry still smokes his crack and dies. My point is that humans will always have the dumb ones that will die off. If we stop trying to fight and prevent everything, we will only lose the dumb ones. Survival of the fittest. I say let all drugs be legal, and let the weak ones perish. 1
