well yea, i believe that the significant other is the only person you can be yourself with, the only one who you can read through his eyes. the person who talks to you through each glance without saying anything, as if your souls are speaking to each other...i guess so. Side: YES

Soul mate, it commonly holds the connotation of being the strongest bond with another person. For many people, this idea that they have one "ideal mate" is a concept they struggle with. When potential love enters their lives, they are left wondering if there is someone better out there. the concept of soul can most easily be understood as "your authentic self", the part of you that remains the same throughout your life. A soul mate helps you experience your authentic self. The energy around you is connected to that person and they can feel every emotion you experience, and when you feel your world is summarized by that person, you will know that that person is your soul mate, and you will know that your souls are talking to each other when you look at his/her eyes and talk without words. The problem with soulmates is opportunity costs, which means humans only have an limited amount of time on Earth, plus only a small sample size of available single people within a given area. Therefore, the subjective perception of soulmates seems possible, but forgoing relationships of the hundreds of others is forgotten due to time and geography. Side: NO
