Probably, but not ideally. Most people use it to mean "stupid" but it should be used to mean "you are working with the wrong facts or simply have no facts to work with." A stupid person may have all of the facts and be unable to figure them out. An ignorant person may be able to figure things out if they had the facts. It is actually less insulting. Commonly though people find it more insulting... This is from an ignorance of the word's intended meaning however, and not necessarily because they are stupid... :p Side: No

In my way of seeing it I think that people use it honestly. Just like making "smart" remarks or "foolish" comments. They just say it as they see it but I can see some people doing this but I find it very unlikely unless you really dislike the person or are incredibly competitive. Side: No
