Is the world falling apart because of parents?

About 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. These numbers reflect how people truly don't love each other or are not trying to fight for their significant other. This sets an example for their children that when things get tough, its better to give up. Most inner city kids suffer more from a broken home then poverty in my humble opinion.  I think if somebody has good upbringing and by that I mean having great moral codes taught to them. Respect for themselves and respect for the world. Being taught to be humble but yet being confident and never giving up. I just want someone to debate me if there is another reason why the world is falling apart, is it more on whats on tv or whats not being taught in the home?

There comes a point in your life where you have to blame yourself instead of others. Yes we need a higher value placed on ethics and morality but what you don't learn at home you can learn outside of it. There are some people who have had excellent upbringing yet do terrible, stupid things, and others who have "broken the chain" of familial expectations and gone on to college to better themselves. The world isn't "falling apart", we are seeing a number of bad things because that's what sells in the news. Whenever you see a crisis, look at the helpers, see past the tragedy and see those that are helping others and then maybe you will think the world isn't so bad.

It's the classic good old days argument which forgets real history. Before divorces and single parenting were common we also had serious crime and bigotry and substance abuse and sin, equal to or worse than we have now.

I do think it matters that parents stay together and raise good kids into good adults. It's just not so simple as saying the whole world is falling apart because of parents. And frankly, the world is no more falling apart now than it was 10 years ago or 30 years ago or 100 years ago. It's the same world. Empires rise and fall, wars happen, wealth shifts around. It's only considered falling apart if you're personally afraid of what's happening to you yourself at the moment. So tell us, is YOUR world falling apart?

Yes 90% of this is the issue that parents do not know how to parent and teach there children right in life. Mainly because they were not taught how to parent either. But there is the 10% that at some point a child should be able to see the jist of things and understand but is hard to when raised with no morals or manners etc.

- Is this statistically proven to be true? Is this only in America?

You have alot of things to say but are they true?
