Is there a God among us?

Many questions have been dwelling on us. Such as "is there a god?". Is there? Well I say there isn't, but other's disagree...

No one knows the answer for sure, but there is someone among us who thinks he's God.

There are interesting arguments for the existence of God, but there is no objective evidence to prove that God is among us. God is a faith based god.

No one really knows, i do not believe in god because of it because their is no complete evidence of there being a god among us. If there was real proof of it i would believe. But that's the thing people can believe what they want to believe. I could make out that im superman and believe i am but no one else would

Yes.

This question made me think of a random god disguising itself as human instead of one of the gods of religion.

According to me,God exists. But he's not what he is portrayed as. He is not the creator of our destiny, nor does he exist in different forms and tell one religion to consume beef or pork merrily and shun it for others. He,according to me, is a spiritual force who maintains balance in our World.

I believe there is, but others do not believe so, and I will no longer try to change their minds because they do not seem to be willing to change.

Don't act like you are being any more open minded then we are. We could easily say that it is you and other religitards that are the ones unwilling to change.

Also I would like to add you are entitled to your beliefs as stupid as they are but that doesn't mean you get to force your BS on other people. For example you need to stop judging us gays. We're not going to accept being denied of civil rights because you have an imaginary friend who commands you to detest us.

Your comment in itself is judgmental. You said he is entitled to his beliefs, only to then add 'as stupid as they are' and then referencing such beliefs rather coarsely in supposedly forcing them on others. You then seem to use this as a platform to link in a subject that is not even in line with this debate which is to do with God's existence, something which was not referred to at all in the comment you were responding to and again dismissively use the phrase 'imaginary friend'. If you want your views to be respected then you have to respect other people's views even if you disagree with them and part of that is being polite when you address somebody (particularly in a first response), not scathing.

Quite honestly, I think you have some personal issues you need to sort out. I can understand being angry at being discriminated against for being gay, but you don't have to take it out on everyone who's Christian. I'm an atheist and what you're saying sounds like crap to me! I'm fully supportive of gay rights, but these people are not trying to start a battle. This whole "insulting gays" thing going inside your head is only inside your head. If you hate Christianity so much, why are you on this argument? I assume to pick a fight?

God is always among us and always will be until the Last Day and throughout our life.

How do you know that?

Here we go again. All I said was that God is among us but certainly not a person in disguise just someone who is not visible to our eyes.

How do you know that?

How do I know that ? Well through the Quran of course and nothing else; in fact what did you expect? Someone coming to me and claiming that he or she is God themselves or that the Last Day of Judgement is just a myth and story to scare children. It's just normal that there should be a God.

I have over 36,000 points... do I qualify as a God here on CD? ;)

God...came from many sources like the 10 commandments from Hammurabi in 1570 B.C.

To me god is more like what are moral values are and how we conduct ourselves.

As far as among us I do not believe he is among us other than shared morays.

Is "SODA HEAD" preparing their own obituary?

No explanations, just "you are out" you can't come in...°°°...

Actually are they "not out"????? or Not Responding?

I don't think there is a god among us, nor is there a god to begin with in the universe. However, when we think of gods, we think of human-like beings with magical powers. I think whatever created our world was a freak force of nature or something completely opposite of human. I would only believe there was a god with proof. Even then, it would take A LOT of proof and it would depend on what proof I was given. If the proof was completely God-based and exactly how God seemed to be, I wouldn't believe it. God is a faith-based god and anything that directly correlates to God has to be fake. It would seem like a set-up to get more people to be Christian. If there was evidence of something completely unrelated to God but magical, however, I might start believing.

There certainly are many "devils" among us. As a corollary, there must be "gods" too.

Can you say why you believe that? Simply stating your beliefs is not debate.

I'm not referring to "devils" or "gods" with supernatural abilities. Even a corrupt politician is a devil. A rapist is a devil. Likewise, anyone who works to protect people from these "devils" is a "god", like a honest police officer.

In Indian culture, we treat our guests as " god". "Sanskrit quote- Atithi devo bhava".

God is in the mind of the beholder. If someone believes in God, then He is real.
