Sure there's a difference. Law Enforcement inside a Washington state Federal Courthouse can't shoot the people who are trying to burn them alive inside without sparking significant protests around the country. BUT, Law Enforcement inside a Washington DC building can and did shoot one of the people trying to get in to do harm and cities aren't burning as a result. There are similarities though too. For example, legal leniency for Portland rioters has set a precedent that may be applied to DC rioters as well. Oops. Side: Yeah. We'd LOSE our country

Hello A: Hmmmm... So, the ONLY difference between taking over a building in Seattle and taking the nations Capitol, is the protest it sparks??? DUDE!! You don't know that the Capitol building is the seat of American government?? Dude! You don't know that to capture the SEAT OF GOVERNMENT, is to capture the government?? You don't know that???? DUDE! excon Side: Nahh. Besides ANTIFA did it
It's not a board game con. They don't get the government because they went into a building. While the difference in media narrative and public response to police conduct are note-worthy, no those are not the only differences. The Capital building has more symbolic importance, which is why it is viewed as a bigger deal. Another difference is the lack of support the DC rioters get from their own side. If they were lefty, it would be excused as mostly peaceful. But since it was on the right, mainstream right-wingers were quick to denounce and condemn what happened. Side: Yeah. We'd LOSE our country

There was a rather distinct difference. The group at the capital consisted of fewer people than those in Seattle, and they were far less violent than the Seattle rioters as well. But the main difference here is how the media keeps portraying it. Side: Yeah. We'd LOSE our country
